The £100k quote received might have had something to with it. Not really worth it when we can't fill the rest of the ground.

the roof idea was rejected fucking years ago due to sunlight being cut out from neighbouring properties in shrivvy road if a roof was constructed.

Yes, but somebody asked the question again at a Club/Fan forum and they said they'd look into it.

To be fair they also said they'd look at ticket initiatives, and they did.

Don't think a planning application was ever lodged for it though because we ran out of cash.

we could make the roof from a see through material, that'd shut the cunts up.....

As things stand theres not really much point is there? We need to build a hotel more than we need a roof on the bank.

:ha:  I quite like seeing away fans getting wet too.

i have no idea if a plan was lodged, but residents objections to a lack of sunlight was the reason i seem to remember.
there was a ground plan in a book produced by the club after our year in the premier league

I had the pleasure of speaking to the guy who kicked up the most fuss at the time.  He complained about everything you could imagine.

The roof this season being discussed was a temporary one, which was what the £100k quote was for.  Too much for what was being suggested so it was shelved.
