Yep insomuch as things were starting to look a bit better all round...which was always likely to be a chimera...Sat the first confirmation of that. Or maybe it was just a crap performance. (Which I did predict I might add)

I wonder which meaning Reg was applying to things at STFC as a chimera.
(1) A fantastic or or grotesque product of the imagination, a bogey.( What, all those lovely wins and draws!) (2) Any fabulous beast with parts taken from various animals. ( Didn't think Iffy's transfer dealings were that bad!)

To add to my feeling of all not being well.....can now be included the fact that the Government and PFA are pulling out of funding centres of excellence etc. The only reason Iffy and Woan had a job was because of this......Iffy will now get the King money in the summer but we'll presumably lose Woan and the rest of that set up.

Why are they doing that? Because they have decided already we will win the world cup so dont need to bring any players few for the next 4 years or something?! Seems ridiculous to me

Seems ridiculous to me There are some funds which come down from the Prem and FL....the PFA withdrew as they're spending their money on other stuff like paying wages of pikey clubs....the Government matched the sums paid by the football authorities but now feel they should pay for the lot if they value these schemes. So its up to football, can it support fully these sort of schemes or will they close down...one thing we can be sure of STFC wont pay for its own.
