FWIW, I think Gary's been completely stitched by a hack desperate to fill copy.

Oh, and I might add that despite what Gary and the hack might think the next Trust meeting will not be discussing his, the club's or any other ground proposals as we're doing an auction night in aid of the RAF, with Iffy and a couple of the players present. Some good shit in there, including a  day's training with the 1st team and Sam Parkin's boots from the play-off season, signed and authenticated by the man himself. More info etc:

Of course, the hack in question could have discovered this if he'd bothered to do the most basic of fact-checking. Like ring one of the several Trust people he's got numbers for. Or even checked the bloody website. But that might perhaps be a bit too much like proper journalism.

Mr Stanley has issued a sort of hybrid retraction/ apology here.

I've had a bit of a pop at him which some might not agree with - but there you go, its all opinions.
