It's such a fucking bummer supporting Swindon sometimes. I reckon were all getting punished for something horrific weve done in a previous life. Hoddle was right! My disability is being a Swindon Town FC fan.

Well someone in my family must have done something terrible, because my father grandfather and now son are all or have been fans.

I'm hoping the money freed up from all these fringe players being released or turning down contracts is partly used to keep the likes of Grant Smith and Matt Heywood at the club. I don't mind the shit going but we really need to try and keep the nucleus of the first team. Problem is that you have less money to spend on squad players. If we're gonna be on a smaller wage budget anyway next year, and you use most of the money from fringe players to boost the wages of a few then we could end up with 5-6 good players and 5 distinctly average ones = squad of 11. Could be a recipe for disaster with injuries etc.

The best thing about this story is finding out that Luke Garrard lives in BARNET. What a coincidence.

The best thing about this story is finding out that Luke Garrard lives in BARNET. What a coincidence. Is that because you live there? Or is it because he has a dodgy Barnet???

B. A man with a mullett like that lives in Barnet, brilliant. He must have a great sense of humour.

Bugger. Ahh well never mind, can't say it's something were not used to.
Looks like he was offered a contract then, thought he may be on the fringes. Perhaps he was one of the two King's quoted as saying "they won't like it".
Probably a lot more on offer down Barnet way if that's where he's off.
Didn't we sign the lad from Spurs?

In fact reading the adver again it seems he may not be to stressed about another club. “The gaffer told me not to rush a decision but I’m clear this is the right thing to do.
“I’m already looking at other options and hopefully I’ll get myself fixed up.”
Could even be the mystery tapped up player that was out of contract.

If we have offered a contract, won't we due a fee of some sorts?

Supposedly because he's under 24 we would should be entitled to claim some compo back.
It's one of those where if he's dropping a level it's probably not worth pursuing as it may hamper the lad getting a deal and wouldn't be worth much.
Bit like the Ruster situation.
