Surely win bonuses etc. will be covered by the increased revenue etc. that promotion wins? Surely we'll get to a point whereby it'll become cheaper for us to go up as a result of this than for us not to got up because of the number of wins we have/will have?
I did question that directly and they reckon it will cost money because they already factored in the sort of attendances we've been getting. The £750k overspend was at the end of the season if it all went well.
That's not to say I'd agree they want to avoid paying it. I think £200k or £250k was player bonuses around promotion, which quite frankly divided by a squad of 25 seems pretty reasonable to me, not to our board though.
