 Aye....the SL was a strong  competition, as the FL was mainly Norvern and Midlands based.

  Brighton beat Villa in 1910....

  ManUre needed a replay to defeat QPR in 08.

  Spurs won the FA Cup as an SL in 01.....and STFC often beat FL clubs in the FA Cup.

  IMO our two SL championships are on an equal footing with winning both the third and fourth tier.
