I wasn't having a go at him.

(I sometimes feel as though any time I pass comment on Di Canio it's construed as criticism, perhaps based on my opposition to his appointment earlier this year, whereas I'm trying to look at it as objectively as I can...perhaps I'm just being paranoid though.)

Yeah but someone must have recommended them. Their agents directly?

Either way he got it a bit wrong by signing them too quickly. Hindsight is a wonderful thing of course.

Really don't think you can blame any of it on the agents - they all trained with us before we signed them so it lies solely with PDC as far as I'm concerned. His fault as well if they didn't train with us or he didn't see enough of them.

Important thing is to acknowledge the fuck ups and move on, which means getting rid of asap to free up the salaries with any money received being a bonus. Don't remember us spending much during the summer so hopefully there is some money available to buy a couple of forwards - will be more than enough under the salary cap if we get rid of the fuck ups.

Correct and that is what he is doing.

Let's now see who goes and who comes in.

The good thing for me is that if the january signings are of the same ilk as the players signed since he realised he made mistakes then we will be ok.

People need to remember that in order to get rid of a player there needs to be another club who wants them.

A lot of these guys are on 2 year deals so we wont just be releasing them.

The flip side to that is that they are not really on alot of money to be fair

We are a well run financial club we are these days. I can't see the board wanting to pay up too many contracts when some of these guys will do fine as squad players if needs be.
