Our downstairs is all ceramic tiles and we have two dogs - it becomes mesmerising watching the two of them chase each other cartoon stylee round the kitchen island complete with power slides!!!

At the same time if we had had carpets they would have lasted about 5 minutes - laminate/tiling is definitely the way forward...
