Twas a fine strike indeed.... I almost broke my ankle celebrating this goal from what I remember....such cramped seating conditions in the away end at Loftus Road...

His one away at Chesterfield was pretty good as well, I'll have to dig that up...

Hmmm... perhaps the one against Chesterfield isnt as good as I remembered. I thought he was a lot further out?! I've included Thorne's peach of a strike as well, an absolute natural goal scorer that boy....

Anyway, enjoy...

***WARNING*** This clip does include some mild Fraser Digby flapping - which may cause offence to some viewers.

Keily was often shite against us...3-0 vs York early in 1995...comedy York left back as well, that day.

comedy assistant or ref too, Ty Gooden I think it was (or Stevie Finney) had the ball a good foot over the goal line and put the cross in for us to score, amazingly the goal stood.

As for Talia he had some good games - Wolves away when Iffy scored his 100th goal from the spot in particular was a great Talia game, but for every good game there were plenty of bad - away at Huddersfield, blaming the sun for his impression of Bonner in the 94 WC, away at Forest when he inexplicably chased down a player well out of the 18 yard box are two that stick out for me.  He was a bloody liability as far as I was concerned.

As for bizzare goals, there's that Horlock own goal away at Luton when Fraser(?) tried to clear the ball and it rebounded off Horlock's shins.  Also the goal that wasn't this season between Reading and Watford has to go down as one of the most bizzare moments in football ever...

Here you go

It was a big file and seemed to take for ever to upload to YouTube, it's still saying 'Video Being Processed'

I loved our away shirt from that season.

The best own goal EVER was by a Man City midfield player ,Jamie Pollock, who thought it would be a good idea to dink the ball over his own defender, and then just head it back to his keeper. Unfortunately, he got more power on the header and headed it over his keeper into the net.

They got relegated due to that own goal.

Anyone remember away to Tranmere in the early 80s? They had a free kick and formed a wall in between the ball and the STFC wall! As the Tranny player ran up to take the kick, the Rovers wall scattered in all directions confusing the Town players and all fans in the ground rather like silver paper used to confuse radar. I can't remember if the ball went in direct, or whether it took a deflection etc. At the time we described it as the 'bomb burst free kick'.
