I know the Bill Power lovers will disagree but Best is the only option we have at the moment so for the sake of this club i hope they takeover very soon.
I deally it would of been power but its not to be so i suppose we have to get on with it.
Power did say he has heard good things about little and veiga though so maybe there is some hope.
I am a fans consortium supporter through & through. I do however think you have a point.
The way I see it, if the CVA is not paid within the next few weeks then one or more of the creditors will slap in a winding up order.
If that happens there will be no club to support.
So, BEST holdings may well be the only option, unless any other investor including the fans consortium can step in, go through due dilligence, takeover & pay the CVA. Given the track record of the club responding to solicitors etc, their is no longer the time. (Unless of course SSW sacks Diamandis, then it could be done). However THEY (BEST) may decide to pull out of the deal themselves, in which case it will be extremely worrying & we will have to hope against hope that some common sense breaks out in SN1 (Well marlborough actually)
I am still extrtemely sceptical about BEST holdings, but am encouraged by what Bill P said about them.
I still leve in hope that the fans consortium can prevail,
One other, point. How many regular fans have this board managed to alienate to date ? I ask the question because given the recent performances, & the fact that we are in a higher leauge, I would expect our crowds to be at least as many as last years average. We seem to have lost over 1,000 I would reckon. (Look at Brissle Wovers average gate which was less than us last yr, but is higher this yr). If my suspicion is true then Diamandis & Co are costing STFC, approx £450,000 over a season. PLUS associatted mecrchandising, sponsorship etc etc
