We’re in prestigious company.

They’re also on Oldham’s shirts.

I like their foray into football team sponsorship over the years and have clearly grown.

Their NZ arm has been spnsoring the Rugby for years and partners with Canterbury RL.

In the UK it looks like they have previously done various forms of sponsorship with Basingstoke Town, Ealing Trailfinders, Bolton, Bury, Hartlepool and Sheffield Wednesday, then sponsored à Hibs match and the back of a Luton Town shirt.

Currently they partner with West Ham Academy (sleeve) & Ladies (socks).

Current main shirt/stand sponsors to date include:

Morecambe (main stand since 2020)
Oldham Ath (since 2021)
&
Swindon Town (as above)

There could be more at present that I don't know but clearly looking to expand their brand fairly quickly. Some of this I googled of course but I knew of them as I had been looking at using them myself just last year!

I did read that but to be honest it didn't enlighten me a great deal!

Pleasingly low key logo though, that's good.

Definitely a shirt sponsor, not a shit sponsor...   ;)

Even BarclayCard on a first glance for some too...

Looks like they have someone with  marketing budget that likes football. Guess it's a good way to create some brand awareness.

Quick glance at the website with no effort seems like a load of buzz words without really explain what it is or how it works.

Quote
Bartercard is a trading platform where businesses can buy and sell their goods or services as part of a global network of likeminded businesses.

Gain access to a huge potential customer base (55,000 cardholders globally) that is not accessible to your competitors.

Bartercard works for you, guaranteeing to bring you new customers allowing you to grow or to use spare or underutilised capacity

We provide you with one of the world’s most innovative business tools and by using 21st-century technology, make the whole process simple to manage.

Swap your unwanted good and services and we take a cut? I'm a cynical cunt but is it something set up to get investment more than use? 55000 globally isn't a lot. Who's it aimed at? Is it one of clems aussie mates?

Doesn't really matter I guess.

More shirts than bartercard...

with all the ronaldo press there are lots of info coming out that utd receive 7% of shirt sales. anyone know the structure for us or in the lower leagues? Never seen it discussed by the club before, I can't imagine we sell huge amounts and we mainly use them as a vehicle for sponsorship rather than for product sales.

Heard a rumour we won’t be stocking any more home shirts this season as they have sold out and apparently the minimum order for Puma is 5,000 shirts which I’m sure the club don’t want to commit too.

it doesn't answer your question but shirt sales barely bring any income to the club apparently

Imagine we will get a higher % than Man U for the simple fact that as far as I am aware Puma don't pay us to produce our shirts which they do for the big clubs (obviously in return for what they make in sales hence Adidas are the big winners in Ronaldo shirt terms). I imagine at our level what we make is purely the difference between trade and retail prices of the shirts like any other clothes retailer.

If that is true I'd rather the club got a better deal than had a 'big name' kit maker.

Bring back Strikeforce or something.

It does seem very low and unappealing for the clubs to shift other than to show shirt sponsors that your logo with by worn by x amount of people for a minimum of a year often more.

bristol city took their shirt manufacturing in house i believe. be interesting to see their profit margin and whether it is worth it.

We've done that a few times. DGI was definitely in house and I think possibly Diamond Leisure was too.

Genuinely forgot about those shirts! DGI will always be the SSP shirt.

I guess the advantage of a well known brand is the rollout of all the training ware and template accessories. I did love us in adidas just for brand association likewise with fifa

From a selfish perspective this is why I like having the kit made by a decent sportswear manufacturer. I don't buy the shirts anymore but do occasionally dabble in the training wear for garments for the gym etc.

The adidas kits with FIFA, FourFourTwo were brilliant. Not often we've had good kits with decent sponsors!

Yep and Samsung too. For a L2/L1 club at the time Town and us fans were bloody spoiled. I enjoyed the ones with the white "S" that weaved around the shirt too. Still wear that one a fair chunk. Nice fit.
