The winter has been exceptionally wet and mild, so lawns are generally in a shocking state at the moment. If you don't want the hassle of dealing with your moss and reseeding the bare areas in the spring, then an artificial solution is probably for you. Personally, I'm happy to deal with this as part of my annual springtime 'to do' list.

Good quality stuff too, it's wintered much better than my existing lawn which is going to need a bit of work when the weather dries out.
