Title: First Mother's Day ideas Post by: Chubbs on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, 15:23:21 So it will be my wife's first Mother's Day this year and I'm crap at buying presents as it is let alone making out as if it's from a 2 month old kid.
My first idea was maybe getting a nice photo framed or a canvas print but if anyone's got better ideas i'd like to hear them. Gay post I know. Title: Re: First Mother's Day ideas Post by: tans on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, 15:24:40 Buy her a PS4

Title: Re: First Mother's Day ideas Post by: Bob's Orange on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, 15:39:38 My suggestion would be to wait until your child is old enough to make/buy her own gift for his/her mother.
Unless your wife is really thick, I don't think she is going to fall for the fact her 2 month old knows what the fuck Mothers Day actually is. Title: Re: First Mother's Day ideas Post by: wiggy on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, 15:40:11 The hand and feet mould or picture is a good idea.
If you haven't already started on, one of those albums for the first year of your babies life, completed up to date, might press the right emotional buttons. Failing that, arrange a babysitter and have a night out. Title: Re: First Mother's Day ideas Post by: Reg Smeeton on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, 15:41:17 Why on earth would you want to buy a Mother's Day present for someone who's not your mother?
I always understood Mothering Sunday to be a day when you visited your mother as you most likely lived elsewhere, and gave her some spring flowers. In the past domestic servants etc would be given the day off to do this. Sadly the 2 Slovak girls who used to come and clean for me, have moved onto pastures new.. A huge faux pas not to do something. Yep hand prints etc seem to go down well, and then , made mugs and stuff once they are old enough. Do it right and you cant do anything wrong for a while.. Quite possibly, unfortunately I was at work, when they cleaned for the last time and departed....their boss though was a very nice English lady who did for me, up until retiring a couple of years ago.
