Turned out I'd torn the rhomboid muscle in my shoulder, it was fine a couple of days later, just kept taking ibuprofen for the pain Title: Re: Back pain Post by: Notts red on Sunday, October 20, 2013, 12:59:54 Get some heat into your shoulder with a wheat bag/ hot water bottle but try to keep it moving as much as possible to stop it stiffening up.

Title: Re: Back pain Post by: pauld on Monday, October 21, 2013, 11:54:06 I had a similar problem, turned out to be bad posture/positioning of the desk and things on my desk (mouse, keyboard etc) so I was constantly stretching and causing a problem with a nerve in my neck which caused pain down my right arm. I got a mini keyboard (so I wasn't reaching for the mouse all the time) and changed the way my chair was set up and that solved it. Have you got Occupational Therapy people at work who can look at how you've got your desk/chair set up?
Title: Re: Back pain Post by: Simon Pieman on Monday, October 21, 2013, 12:29:24 I find taking magnesium really helps for muscle pain and tension too. A few quid in Asda in their vitamin section.
Don't take more than a couple of them though, or you'll get the shits.
