I don't think it is rocket science for someone to say everyone is for sale. Everyone, every year is for sale at the right price. The interesting thing will be who they are sold to and for how much. Selling Wes, for example, to Sunderland or any Championship club? Ok. Selling him to a L1 club? A different matter.

So if a L1 club offers more for Wes than a Championship club, you would rather we rejected that offer and accepted a lower one?

If money is needed, then it doesn't matter where he goes as we saw with the Ritchie sale.

It's a combination of the two, but in reality how likely is it that a L1 club will come in with a bigger offer than a Championship club anyway? My point is that we can't determine anything about the board if we sell a player for a good price to a Championship club...if we sell them to a rival for a perceived cheap price, that will tell us something (ref: Ritchie).

Hope comes last week we were told Storey, Thompson, Flint and Bedwell had been offered new deals then a week later we're told the club have taken up automatic renewal options.

Does this mean the players in question were originally offered deals different to the renewal terms.

If this is the case, why - tribunal terms say that we have to offer them the same or a better contract (if we want compo) (or is that just wages?) So can we assume the board were maybe trying to get some clauses and or bonuses out of their current contracts?

Or have I just got the wrong end of the stick of the whole thing?
