It takes two

PAOLO Di Canio believes Swindon are just two players short of being able to truly consider themselves promotion contenders after the Italian expressed his disappointment with Town’s lack of cutting
  edge against Burton on Saturday.

Not sure honesty is always the best policy Paolo.

Don't like these type of comments from Paolo. Poor man management and isn't going to do the players confidence and morale any good openly criticising them.

it works both ways though doesn't it? They're grown men, they don't need telling how great they are every 5 minutes, they need a kick up the backside to press on, if there position is in jeopardy it should inspire them, it certainly would for me in a work situation, it would just make me work harder.

Can never work out whats going on in the STFC camp.

After the 3 wins on the bounce, Alan Connell said it was great place to be at the moment and he was loving it here. Now Paolo comes out and says we need some new strikers because our's are crap basically !

Surely this will kill Kerrouche and Connell's confidence completely ??

I have a feeling Di Canio thinks he is motivating players by making sure their places are never guaranteed.

Take Gabilondo as an example - he was flavour of the month after his Oxford cameo and the City game, but one average performance and he's nowhere to be seen.

He's seems to want to keep everyone on their toes, but there is a fine balance to be struck between making them fight for the shirt and making them think less of themselves as players.

there is a guy in my office that is connell's splitting image, i might ask him his opinion on the matter and if his moral has been damaged

or it's another Timlin situation!

Good performance then completely vanishes... has Gabi even been on the bench recently?

How long is Magera out for? he looked a real handful agaisnt Rotherham, I know he got injured but we never got a real update on what and how long he will be out for. We have four strikers which are fine. Connell will score goals, Kerrouche will work his back side off, Magera will win the aerial battles and Storey is rapid and also Billy boy is out on loan. We do need an experienced goalkeeper no doubt about that.
