They are likely to pick up knocks and suspensions though, which should give Ferry a chance to shine.

Maybe even August, which would be a shame. You couldn't blame him though.

We know Ferry's quality so I see no reason, as yet, to believe PdC has made his mind up about his first central midfield pairing. I expect to see Fezza starting the first game.

IF though, Di Canio decides that Risser and Smith or A N Other are is first choice midfielders I don't see Ferry hanging around too long. Certainly not after last season when he got seriously pissed around. He just wants to be playing and that's fair enough.
