They knew what was going on before the vote but kept quiet as they were more interested in winning the vote than doing the right thing. Even now they won't come out and say anything, bar one bloke who has nothing to lose and doesn't give a fuck. Even worse, they then go (via UEFA) and endorse Blatter for another term. No doubt because they're playing politics, rather than doing the right thing. If not, why haven't they come out against him? If I remember rightly, Zidane was apparently paid $5m by Qatar for his 'support', so paying a couple of million for an actual vote is actually cheap in comparison !! |
