Obviously the exact reason is not well known. We were asking for £450,000 originally for him, but then suddenly sold him for £250,000 stating contractual reasons and wanting to run the club a certain way. Who knows if this is true or not, not I!

AF&co would never wash dirty linen in public, and personally I am glad about that. He's gone, for whatever the reason was, and we now need to find a Frampton replacement!  :clap:

I'd guess he's earning a fair bit more at Brighton as well. Still think that history will show selling him was a good move, we already know he can't cut it in The Championship as Doncaster wouldn't have offloaded him if he could.

At the time Adver reported it as £250k + add ons depending on performance. Unfortunately he keeps getting sent off for them, so doubt we're getting many of the add ons  :doh:

He probably is earning more at Brighton, coupled with the 3 year contract he earnt, it's kind of understandable...

There was something fishy going on.....Fitton and Wilson would have offered a contract after the season he had....that said Fitton wont be held to ransom by players agents.
Gordon Greer had a good season for us though personally i am glad Morrison is in now....only 19 and a great prospect
Anybody who says that Greer would have made this season better is just guessing.
Anyone who thinks that Brighton players are better paid than ours is wide of the mark also..not a lot in it.....players at Brighton aint on more money than Douglas,Ferry and Caddis in my opinion.

They were youngsters, no where near the first team so I highly doubt they would have been on 'big' wages, and I doubt they are on 'big' wages at Swindon.

Both players were/and are highly thought of as youngsters....thats why they were given long deals...Ferry got bad injuries...Caddis played 17 times for the first team and is under 21 captain...while not on massive money they wouldnt have moved here on mickey mouse money....indeed Championship clubs were interested in Caddis.
So while your undying love for Greer touches me the fact is that he wont be on a lot more at Brighton than he could have been here. :D

I don't think it was suggested that they would be on mickey mouse money here. There's a difference between long deals and deals that are worth lots of money. I would be very surprised if they are in the top 7/8 earners at this football club.

I don't know who that last comment is aimed at, but I haven't said anywhere that Greer will be on much more at Brighton, although we will never know.

Its aimed at the people who were giving Fitton shit for letting him go......of course we dont know how much Greer is on...you point that out..............so what makes you think you know what Ferry/Caddis were on in Scotland and indeed down here...cant have it both ways.
My guess is that Caddis is one of the top earners here without a doubt.

Actually I'd say quite a good chance. They joy of fucking about on an internet forum the size of the tef is that you can make points, reply, backtrack or just keep going. It's much easier to write a few sentences, see what the reaction is and judge it from there than it is to write a whole screenplay.
