Title: Lazy players Post by: Sippo on Friday, October 15, 2010, 10:08:17 Quote Former Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc claims that his time in Scotland has made him lazy. The Polish star is currently with Fiorentina, who he joined in the summer, but he is struggling to usurp current Viola number one Sebastien Frey. And 30-year-old Boruc admits that he became lazy as he was never in danger of losing his place in the side at Celtic. "In Glasgow, I became a bit lazy because they all loved me no matter how I played," he claimed on Polish television. "I loved Glasgow, however, at some point in life you must change. "I know that at Fiorentina I have to work hard because, compared to Celtic I have to earn my space. Now is a different situation that involves more work for me. "I came to Fiorentina because I wanted to go to play in a better championship. I love Italy, I feel good here and I have also begun to speak Italian. "Now in Fiorentina I must make everyone understand my worth. I'm very ambitious and optimistic." This is nice to hear from a pro. I bet it applies to a lot of players, ie. Rooney. Players know they are going to be picked so put less effort in at training or whatever... I think it's down to the manager. They should want 110% comittment off all squad players. How can you put on 3 stone being a professional football player? Title: Re: Lazy players Post by: Chubbs on Friday, October 15, 2010, 11:19:52 I can't believe he would of lost 3 stone? How can you put on 3 stone being a professional football player? Ask Ross McLaren, Brian Howard, twat Ruddock or Christian Roberts. I'm sure there are others. Going back in time Simon Gibson would be a good example after a hard pre season drinking and eating lardburgers with lard sauce on a bed of lard. Title: Re: Lazy players Post by: tans on Friday, October 15, 2010, 11:26:54 Ross McLaren

Ross mclaren makes me smile Was known in our house as Mr Blobby. This was at the time when the Town's MOTM was sponsored by the Biplop Tandoori, and the winner got free meals. Rumour at the time was that Ross used to acquire the prize after every game & fill himself with curry on a regular basis. Ah, those were the days when footballers used to eat curry & get pissed on a Saturdsy night just like the rest of us :) Title: Re: Lazy players Post by: jayohaitchenn on Friday, October 15, 2010, 13:55:45 The players still do get pissed on saturday nights.

So when they've had a good win, do they dance in the streets of Fiorentina? A bit like dancing in the streets of Raith? :hmmm: Title: Re: Lazy players Post by: adje on Friday, October 15, 2010, 19:12:49 http://img.thesun.co.uk/multimedia/archive/01097/sol_1097335a.jpg

I was in there that night too, and funnily enough I was talking about those games today. If I recall correctly it was (and probably always will be) the longest league cup tie ever. The thing I remember most was swearing at the radio in the car after the first away game when they had the toss to decide the venue for the second replay & we lost meaning that we had to go back up to Bolton the following week. Title: Re: Lazy players Post by: tans on Friday, October 15, 2010, 20:26:03 The players still do get pissed on saturday nights. I love the fact that Wiki now has his location unknown but he's rumoured to be on the books of Slovenian side NK Bravo. Title: Re: Lazy players Post by: tans on Friday, October 15, 2010, 20:30:48 Asprilla was class
