Was you stuck on the M4 for most of the morning?
Some loon decides he wants to bring a little misery to thousands so threatens to throw himself of a bridge onto the motorway bringing the M4 to a standstill in both directions.
Instead of the police spending their valuable time talking the wanker down, get your best marksman and shoot him down or let me at him with a pointed stick.
Every motorway I've been on this week as come to a grinding halt.  This truly is a third world country.

I almost missed out on a day's wages because of this 'loon'! Our delivery was stuck on the M4 and I was almost sent home because there would have been nothing to do.

What was the end result? Did he come down? I guess it was resolved because our delivery arrived...

I think the solution is obvious. Get a huge motorway-sized trampoline and push him off if he hasn't jumped by the time you reach him. Job done.

If, however, you were to visit a proper third world country, you would probably find the police much more willing to take pot shots at suicidical/depressed folk teetering on the edge of motorway bridges.

Selfish bastard. If you're gonna end your life do it away from anyone else. Jumping off a bridge will not just affect your family, but imagine the catastrophy after you've jumped. How many others would be killed or injured because of your stupidity and selfishness.

Kiddy I work with was hanging off the same motorway bridge a few weekends ago,before he went up there he phoned me to say not to send any trucks onto that stretch of the motorway.,he did it over night saturday into sunday so didnt cause quite as much chaos as today but they still shut the motorway.He came back into work a few days later,we pretend it never happened.

Unfortunately there are quite a lot of people out there that don't get it until it happens to them or someone close to them and only then do they realise what a fucking dick they've been. Though it's a lot better now than it was say 10 years ago.

Sorry to hear so many of us was caught on the M25 yesterday.  Like I said we've a third world infrastructure.

Tomorrow I've got A419, M5, M6, M54 and on some.  Should be a 3hr 45minute journey door to door.  Fat chance of that happening.  Between the suicides (cry for help) and poor driving I'll be happy with 5 hrs each way.

How to stop this madness?

Shoot the suicidal.  Help them on their merry way, a kindness if you will.

One car per household and no taking little Jonny to school in your Chelsea tractor.  Make the fat little bastard walk.  If it's ten miles to school? Choose a closer school.

Guilty of careless driving? 10 years in pokey and lose your licence permanently.  Drink driving? lose your licence permanently.  No excuses, I've got a spastic son or my job is at risk.  You've done the crime now do the time.

Privatise the railways with a massive investment on par with money thrown at the banks.  taking cars and trucks off the road.  Local buses subsidised for local journeys.

Test age up to 21.  Serve 1 year on two wheels so you can learn to read the road.  Over 65 to sit a medical and driving test every birthday.

Double the price of fuel, extra revenue to go to public transport.

Pay as you go motorways and dual carriageways with a rebate if you end your journey without being in or causing an accident.
