just a quick thread about season ticket holders.

Last season due to the cheap deal we had alot of new season ticket holders. Most, if not all of them were extremely dissapointed with the football on display and certainly around me some stopped coming way before the end of the season.

Just wondered how many of the new season ticket holders around you came back this season?

The people either side of me have - now they could have been season ticket holders for years and just moved seats but they werent there any of the previous 5 seasons I've been in my seat.

Angry shouty man and his crew of McGorvern haters havent come back which in my opinion is certainly a good thing.

back to the future young ginger dave is still there but not the actual ginger dave, most dissapointing.

I must admit after a good few years of having about 5 'regulars' sat up by me for years its nice to have a few more. More came back than I expected in truth.

The Anti-Mcgovern crew aren't there! Awesome. My mates still sit in the same space i think, should mean when i do see a game it will be in relative peace.

To answer your question, the fact season ticket sales are down tells its own story really. A few of the new converts may have stayed, but not many i would imagine

I returned last season after a break of many years (the King years) and renewed again.  I moved my seat as I couldn't stand the miserable sod sat next to me.  Had nobody next door but the next seat along was a very attractive young lady!!  Result.

In my row there are 7 I recognise from last year, plus the 2 guys in front of me and various other faces I seem to remember dotted about.

In our area there are 5 that have renewed in front and 3 in front of them.  Only one missing from last season I think.

Two to the left of us aren't there, however people may renew late thus not keeping the same seats, move next to friends etc. so its hard to tell.

Waggons is missing apprently :(

A few in the town end have moved seats.

Most disappointed that Toni and her Mum have not ............  renewed/died/committed suicide/got pregnant

I have been a season ticket holder for past 3 years, but decided not to renew this year. I knew I would miss a minimum of three games so decided to pick and choose my games this year - saying that, I was really hoping for a big deal to be put in place for the townend e.g. £150 tickets to pack it out, but that didnt happen so now i have to queue up for my ticket like the other mongs.

How good would that have been??

Something for the suits to think about for next year I hope.

As someone cleverer than me pointed out on here once (I think), it's unlikely that they'll want the townend packed out until they can improve the facilities. There's just not the potential there to make extra sales on food and drink on a packed out townend as there is if you moved all those people into the DRS or the Arkells, just due to lack of space and burger outlets and no bar.

There was 7 of us last season in town end with S/T, this year its 2 and the others will only go big games

if she's not there tuesday i may rethink my season ticket

all the usual folk are back around us - Mouth almighty in front seems to have had her hair cut into some sort of "bob" of off the 90's

I guess that is who you are talking about, and yeah you are right, she has got a bit of lip on her when she gets going, especially about Phil Smith, she seems to hate him!  Can you let me know when you are going to give her a slap so that I can watch! :D

I have a woman that sits directly behind me that gobs off a lot of crap as well, and she insists on bringing her 2 kids that have absolutely no interest in being there whatsoever and spend 90 minutes fighting each other or kicking the back of me and my lads chair!  One day I will lose the plot!

Seems the same lot are around us, few empty seats to the left of my mate, but I think that indicates that the season tickets were renewed but they were on holiday or something.

Its funny, lots of fans have seem to always have people sat around them that they find irritating, I'm obviously one of them cos I really hacked some old bloke off that sat in front of me for a while....I was in a right bad mood and the game was shite so I was having a massive rant.... he turned around to me as he was leaving (ten minutes early I may add) and said 'I don't know why you don't go and support Oxford' hilarious, I think I said 'fuck off and die grandad' (first thing that came into my head ;) I am such a poet really).... he sits further away now...

Its just one of those things, we all have our favs and our hates as we're all different and more often than not, see a completely different game to one another.

Some geezer that used to sit waaaay behind me was an absolute Pook/MacNamee/Ifil/Vincent/Cox hater and he used to get some serious crap from those around him...sometimes listening to him and the responses he was getting was more entertaining than the game...

I just allow anyones opinion that I dont agree with to simply wash over me these days, its just the occasional raised eyebrow here and a 'fuck off and die grandad' there.... but I think I'd flare up if some snot nosed kid was constantly kicking the back of my chair though

3 blokes that sat in the row behind us seemed to have gone, annoying fucks they were! All they did was talk about Arsenal and how we compare! Infact they were directly behind our new neighbours Axs and co!

we actually call her "piss holes in the snow girl" as she used to always be really thin and willowly and tall and she was so pale with these little eyes that were so covered in eyeliner they looked like 2 pissholes in the snow!!
