this month is hectic as fuck for me.this is the only sat i've got off from either stag days,weddings or friend arrangements.still played 18 holes and been shopping though.8 pints of bulmers and a asda curry for tonight.

went out to get a pizza, came home and watched some old ER. just deciding what film to watch.

decided to stay in after a heavy one last night and need to save money for a busy august

I'm a little pissed on red wine now on bulmers/kopparberg. Have to be cos she's watching sex in the city. And it really is bad!!

Just back from a week in Co. Mayo, so unpacking and a pizza tonight. Exciting stuff.

How was it? I love mayo. did you get any races in?

Girlfriend got a job working evenings. Would quite like to be joining most of you on the alcohol but the house is empty.

Shops are open.

I'm supposed to be revising. Currently that means for every hour spent doing work, I'm spending another 2 hours doing something else.

I'm also babysitting.

Nope. Loads of sightseeing. And walking. And food. No beer though.

Going on holiday tomorrow.Done all my packing but the other half has buggered off down the pub without doing his.The poor love,a whole week to put up with me,course he needs to get out and get pissed up.

Still beats having to sit around with him glued to racing car clips on Youtube  ::)

I was trying to get through a bottle of bubbily pink wine but its given me a right headache so iv'e wimped out.My life is so dull!

I've ruined my "not drinking as much as I used to" run this month by accidentally going on a  13day drinking session ending Monday. Been good the rest of this week though. Apart from last night. And a few beers mid week.

Having not been on holiday for ages, the last time I packed big time was moving around at uni. I'd get over packing issues by never fully unpacking. Genius system.

Definitely disapproving, I try not to make a habit of such things any more. It wasn't planned.

I think I was sober when I had the problem with the library returns machine. Those things are evil.

I don't normally, one of the reasons I've found cutting down easier. I had a bit of spare cash for the last month but I'm back to skint again now.

Most modern technolgy is evil though isn't it? I'd say they aren't as bad as the self service machines at Tesco.Took me about 10 minutes to get out of the Express one in town the other week when a twix didn't want to be scanned.

I don't think I've ever managed to use one of them without it going wrong. Normally it's because there's too many bags, so it doesn't register when you've put it in the bag and goes mental about it. It normally ends up quicker just to queue.

Yeah. It's pretty boring looking after him in the evenings though. He was in bed when I got here and he hasn't made a noise since. Only seen him when checking on him a couple of times.

I'm on extended month long child-minding duties starting a week Monday, my sisters got a job and they can't afford to sort out a nursery or anything until she gets paid. I don't mind and am sort of looking forward to it, although it's bloody tiring. I'm glad I'll be able to give him back at the end of the day.

He's at an age (err. 20monthsish I think) where he can toddle about and knows what he wants/wants to do but doesn't have the language to communicate it with you yet. Leads to him getting frustrated and throwing a strop occasionally. Actually, I think a lot of the time he's just pushing boundaries to see what he can get away with. Generally he's pretty good though.

All the Tef is getting old(er). And the new young people are rubbish compared to the old young people.

saturday (k)night update: watched den brysomme mannen (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0808185/) earlier and am just about to watch dead man's shoes. a norwegian film followed by a british film, seems a fair deal.

Had my graduation today. Was going to sample the delights of Melksham Carnival and the accompanying 'Farce in a tent' (sorry, party in the park) but ended up staying in and watching Wall-E with some uni friends instead.

Now I'm really tired.

Just back from my second day running bars in Victoria park.  Madstock yesterday. Lovebox today.  Rumblestrips, Florence and the machine, NERD, finished off with Duran Duran.   

Glad im being paid for this.

Back again for 11 tomorrow.  Doves and Groove armada.

Wall-E is a fucking awesome film.

Wall-E is at best a 30 minute (and then pretty tedious short) overblown into a full-length film - a classic example of "it all sounded great in the pitch". Your post is right up there with axs' nomination of "Love Actually" in the Favourite British Films thread. I snort derision at you, sir.

Wall-e is a brilliant film. I'll grant you that the start is it's strongest. The first bit would make an awesome short film by itself, but the rest of the film is still fucking awesome.

I'm not going to challenge you on the grotesque ugly freak aspect as the Great British Public have already spoken on that and while they were slightly kinder in their choice of phrase, the verdict was no less damning for being couched. However, the fact remains that Wall-E is in essence a quite good short which has been utterly destroyed by trying to drag it out into a proper film. And you're no oil painting, while we're about it. Plus mex agrees with me so we win
