I'd never bet on him to win a grand slam yet alone a specific one.
The top players seem to piss about and try new tactics in the smaller tournaments so I don't read much into the results from these. At a punt, I'd say he may win in America. Those hard courts seem to suit his game better.
And for the record, the one interview in which the anti-English comment came about did so because the English interviewer goaded him about Scottish football. If you see the transcript of the interview, its literally what we call "banter" - I've seen far worse than what he said on this very forum about Welsh and Scottish people.
