Oh and Best, so yes and yes. Sorta. Title: Re: Vinny jones Post by: Reg Smeeton on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, 23:25:14 Well clearly two ex STFC legends, Mike Summerbee and Osvaldo Ardiles, exhibited not only their thespian talents but football skills as well in Escape To Victory.
This would be the only example of a club having two ex players, in a film directed by a someone who'd also directed the likes of Bogart and Hepburn. Title: Re: Vinny jones Post by: BANGKOK RED on Thursday, August 28, 2008, 05:21:38 Was John Wark not also in escape to victory?

John Fashanu hosted gladiators? Not a movie I know but still on the box. Yeah Johnny Wark was in there along with pretty much all of the Ipswich squad at the time as it was filmed close to their training ground I believe, I certainly remember O'Callaghan, Beattie, Wark, Osman, Sivell, Cooper and Turner....I love that film! Title: Re: Vinny jones Post by: donkey on Thursday, August 28, 2008, 17:06:06 I'm sure I read that Wark's voice was dubbed as no-one could understand him. Apparently the first he knew about it was a the screening, and he was not happy.

Title: Re: Vinny jones Post by: Lumps on Friday, August 29, 2008, 08:12:53 Sean Bean - "Do you want someone loud and Northern?????????" My next former door neighbour Gerry is an actor and voice over artist who does a load of the advert voice-overs as a Sean Bean soundalike. Apparently the 02 adverts were actually the real Sean Bean though. |
