Title: Dubai Post by: tans on Saturday, July 12, 2008, 12:12:02 Have found a cracking deal for a week all inclucsive.
Has anyone ever been, and is it recommended? Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers xx Title: Re: Dubai Post by: Rossi on Saturday, July 12, 2008, 12:20:35 Which hotel is it at? We've just started dealing with some venues (hotels & golf courses) in Dubai at work. If you're into your golf I'd strongly recommend trying to get some in over there as the majority of courses look awesome. In terms of hotels, most of the ones we are working with are amazing - but quite expensive.
As you're probably aware a lot of money has been pumped into the area, so while parts of it will be top-notch, there is still a lot of construction work going on Title: Re: Dubai Post by: tans on Saturday, July 12, 2008, 12:35:46 Its the Hilton Ras Al Khaimah.
found it on this site - http://www.valueaddedtravel.com/offersDetails.asp?splid=24#so its 60 km away from main dubai, but are able to get free shuttle to city etc. let me know what you think matey Title: Re: Dubai Post by: Bushey Boy on Saturday, July 12, 2008, 13:11:01 Dubai is lush, but a bit like London with a beach. Talking of which anyone know of any decent places to go in September? Carribean and Mexico is off limits due to hurricane risk, think it's rainy season in Maldives, only want a 10 day break as going to Australia for New Year 09/10.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Title: Re: Dubai Post by: oxford_fan on Monday, July 14, 2008, 12:01:15 will they let me out of the airport on a 10 hour stop over? any tips?

Turkey or Greece are still pretty warm in September. Kefalonia is good, as is Lefkas in Greece. Off to Corfu at the end of next week. Olu Deniz in Turkey is good and in September less chavs there as the kids are back at school. I went at the end of Sep last year and it was 30 degrees every day and the beaches were pretty empty. Would go back at the drop of a hat. Thought about Santorini? I can recommend you a very nice hotel where the owners will cater to your every need. Location of hotel isn't great, but Santorini isn't huge anyway. EDIT: Here is a link to a whole bunch of photos. Not mine I hasten to add (I wish they were......) http://www.pbase.com/dimitri_v/santorini&page=all Title: Re: Dubai Post by: otanswell on Monday, July 14, 2008, 20:59:58 grooverider told me he was having a wicked time, so good he extended his visa by four years

I'll keep it in mind, I wouldn't mind going a bit further a field (middle east) but if not I think the Med maybe an option, especially as it'll save some money for Australia! We went to Brazil in mid-September two years ago. Had a brilliant time, weather superb and relatively cheap. I think Going Places are still booking until October! We looked to go back in November but they had stopped in October until the following May. We are now going to Jamaica in November.Any ideas would be appreciated.
