Which hotel is it at? We've just started dealing with some venues (hotels & golf courses) in Dubai at work. If you're into your golf I'd strongly recommend trying to get some in over there as the majority of courses look awesome. In terms of hotels, most of the ones we are working with are amazing - but quite expensive.
As you're probably aware a lot of money has been pumped into the area, so while parts of it will be top-notch, there is still a lot of construction work going on

it's customary to stamp on a bag of poppy seeds with your shoes on before you enter the country...

60km is a long way, especially in the heat.

Good website that Tans, might use that for my honeymoon next Sept. Talking of which anyone know of any decent places to go in September? Carribean and Mexico is off limits due to hurricane risk, think it's rainy season in Maldives, only want a 10 day break as going to Australia for New Year 09/10.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Turkey or Greece are still pretty warm in September. Kefalonia is good, as is Lefkas in Greece. Off to Corfu at the end of next week. Olu Deniz in Turkey is good and in September less chavs there as the kids are back at school. I went at the end of Sep last year and it was 30 degrees every day and the beaches were pretty empty. Would go back at the drop of a hat.
