I think your tipster might be a chump. PS It won't win at Kempton either. Not 7 or 8. As you can see from the time and date of the article below, your tip was pulled before you'd even put it up. http://www.racingpost.com/news/horse-racing/activial-sign-of-a-victory-set-to-swerve-ladbroke-hurdle-at-ascot/1792163/#newsArchiveTabs=last7DaysNews I'm merely pointing out virtually every horse in training is entered in several races at a time and it's probably wise to wait until they are declared (i.e. a confirmed runner) before tipping them. Anyone backing it would have lost their money as it would be deemed ante-post (i.e. non-declared). But of course, your tipster would know this is if he followed the sport... Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Saxondale on Friday, December 19, 2014, 14:19:38 Mex, PM me you tips when you get them would you. Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Paolo69 on Friday, December 19, 2014, 15:14:52 Duds go with the territory though. No one can pick a winner everytime. If you don't trust the tip then don't back the thing. It's not that difficult.
Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Foggy on Friday, December 19, 2014, 15:21:41 Nor is checking that its actually running before you put the tip out

It's not that difficult. I love my racing and have put a few up on here in my time. Some absolute shockers in amongst them. It works both ways - if you put one up and give it the big one, expect a few digs when it doesn't come off. Don't get all precious. Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Paolo69 on Friday, December 19, 2014, 15:43:02 I love my racing and have put a few up on here in my time. Some absolute shockers in amongst them. It works both ways - if you put one up and give it the big one, expect a few digs when it doesn't come off. Don't get all precious. Fair comment Dave. Didn't think Mex was "giving it the big one", merely trying to substantiate why the tip might be half decent. Think we'll beg to differ on that, just feel it would be a shame if Mex were to stop posting these, especially IF there's money to be made. Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Ticker45 on Friday, December 19, 2014, 17:21:02 Number one son is quite heavily into the horses, does a spreadsheet with all the relevant info. and has been banned from a couple of the on-line sites this year. If you are into your online betting, you can find certain well known bookmaker websites that don't close greyhound races on-time. As you can see below, i placed a bet at 20.06 for a 19.55 race. I knew the result, placed the bet, got paid out and jobs a gooden.
Must have made over £30k this year doing this. Worse case scernario is they close your account down, never ask for any money back. I then ask my friends to open accounts and we go 50-50 on the winnings. Lovely jubbly. 04 Dec 2014 - 20:06 Bet (Return) Straight Forecast - 1 Bet @ £12.45 7:55 Sheffield W 1 st : Late Challenge P 2 nd : Colorado Tommy Forecast £17.71 Bet receipt - O/0992769/0000013 Hide Details + £220.49 29 Nov 2014 - 21:00 Bet (Return) Straight Forecast - 1 Bet @ £13.39 8:51 Poole W 1 st : Key Ace P 2 nd : Dooey Belle Forecast £15.27 Bet receipt - O/0992769/0000011 Hide Details + £204.47 9 Nov 2014 - 20:46 Bet (Return) Straight Forecast - 1 Bet @ £11.55 8:34 Poole W 1 st : Katies Buster P 2 nd : Best Fit Forecast £10.51 Bet receipt - O/0992769/0000010 Hide Details + £121.39 Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: DMR on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, 14:54:54 If you knew the result, why are you only having £12 on?
Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Stef Troll on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, 14:59:47 To make sure its kept under the radar. If they see i am making £3,000 on one bet then they will check the bet to make sure it is legit and i will then get found out.
Winning small amounts like £200 a bet isnt anything out of the ordinary for most online bookmakers, so its easier to keep under the radar ! Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: DMR on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, 15:01:06 If you never backed a loser they'd be looking, regardless of stake.
Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Stef Troll on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, 15:08:38 Don't get me wrong, i do the odd normal bet to make the account look more real. I'm not really worried if it loses though as it makes my account look more legit.
I can do 6 bets in an evening, 4 winners with average profit of £200 a bet and then lets say the other 2 bets lose at £10 a pop. Overall thats £780 profit in an evening. I then go onto a different online bookie and do the same. Thats £1,500 for an evenings work. Back in the day it used to be brilliant for me as whatever i won i would keep. However i have now been banned from every well known bookmaker that offers greyhound racing. Hence why i ask my friends to open accounts and we go 50-50 !. I know its hard to believe, but if you know what you are doing you can make real good money. Been smashed off the board but been told it should pee up. Mate also has one running in a few weeks which they're trying to land a gamble on, will put it up when he runs. Looked slow out the stalls and didn't really pick up enough to me. Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Simon Pieman on Thursday, January 22, 2015, 19:37:04 Paddy Power, based on the bet receipt format. Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: kerry red on Saturday, January 24, 2015, 12:22:28 There are no current odds as yet - the market will be formed about 10 minutes before the off.
You may be able to ask for first show odds - other than that you will have to wait Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Paolo69 on Saturday, January 24, 2015, 20:27:12 Odds are online with most bookies for Asker now. Seems to be 7/1 in general. Decent if it wins and value e/w.

This is what I was told, it had serious money on it at lingfield a couple of weeks ago but it was pissing it down and they pulled it out half way through race. They have put it in this race at sedgefield to get back the money they lost last time out. I believe about 25-30k is being put on first thing and my bloke is putting 2k on it. so definately fingers crossed time

Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: DMR on Sunday, January 25, 2015, 11:21:33 Non runner. I'd be a bit dubious about what they're telling you regarding the rain last time Mex... The only 2 times it's won before, the ground has been heavy...
Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: JanTheMan on Sunday, January 25, 2015, 11:28:02 Been reading this thread with interest for the past week and thought I'd chance my first bet. I know nothing about horses, but saw Asker come into 13-2 from 8s on wiliamhill. Enough money going on for it to stand a chance (in my uneducated eyes), so chucked a tenner on the nose. 11-2 when pulled.
Out of interest, what's generally the reason for pulling horses on the day? Conditions don't suit? Anything else this PM? Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: DMR on Sunday, January 25, 2015, 11:36:24 If it had been backed then it's probably a physical thing rather than the ground - maybe taken a knock or tweaked something overnight, maybe a bit of heat in its legs etc. Otherwise it's normally that they haven't eaten so they're probably not 100%.
Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: DMR on Sunday, January 25, 2015, 11:38:27 But remember that it's price would have shortened because there were other non runners.
Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: singingiiiffy on Sunday, January 25, 2015, 11:39:12 Unhelpful I know but 8s into 13/2 definitely isn't a reason to throw money on, barely coming in at all.
Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Bob's Orange on Sunday, January 25, 2015, 11:40:22 West ham, arsenal, Bournemouth treble today. Possibly in a btts treble.

Another question if you don't mind. If a horse in a relatively minor race comes in a bit like Asker, 8-1 to 11-2, is that due to a large amount of money or could it just be influenced by few bets from the TEF/similar skewing the normal betting patterns? Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: JanTheMan on Sunday, January 25, 2015, 11:46:53 Unhelpful I know but 8s into 13/2 definitely isn't a reason to throw money on, barely coming in at all. I did mention I know nothing about betting! :) 12s had been mentioned in an earlier post so also assumed it was higher before I had a look this AM Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: DMR on Sunday, January 25, 2015, 11:52:25 Cheers DMR Another question if you don't mind. If a horse in a relatively minor race comes in a bit like Asker, 8-1 to 11-2, is that due to a large amount of money or could it just be influenced by few bets from the TEF/similar skewing the normal betting patterns? In a low grade race at a low grade track (like this case) then a couple of grand in one stake would probably be enough to shorten the horse a point, yeah. However, I think in this case that shortening would be because the second fav was pulled out (if you look at the market for the race, every horse has been shortened) Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: JanTheMan on Sunday, January 25, 2015, 12:01:40 Cheers DMR. Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: mexico red on Sunday, January 25, 2015, 15:15:30 From what i've gathered they lost a huge amount of money at lingfield, for some reason (the going? the look of another horse?) they pulled today as they want a surefire as possible to recoup. The serious money wasnt placed today but they are running it weds at leicester

Same people who do the Football Accumulators on Twitter who are basically in the pockets of the bookies. Agree about the Football Accumulators, I don't follow those tips at all. I use The Winners Enclosure for their horse tips only. re football, I usually do European leagues with 3/4/5 from each that are around 1/3 or more. Have had more winners than losers but you have to stake at least £20 to return anything worth while. Dundalk in Ireland tend to win every week from recent history. Leicester to win at arsenal 5/1 monaco to beat psg 10/1 las palmas to beat leganes 11/2 All playing away, but those odds to me seem exceptional and based on form very high! Sporting 13/10 to win. Will they play for the draw and smash them second leg? Maybe but 13/10 is a decent price for a portuguese side who got knocked out of the champions league group stages, which included Barcelona. Astana are a Kazakhstan side. Worth a tenner. I did wonder if Kazakhstan was one of the 22 countries we'd never invaded, apparently not. Tajik, Uzbek and Kyrgyz, however have never had the civilising presence of British forces, probably explains why they haven't a side in the last 32 of the Europa League Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Bob's Orange on Thursday, February 15, 2018, 19:01:20 Yep been paid out too on 60mins with the 2 goal early payout. My double is Napoli & Lyon. KO 8.05pm. If that comes in I've taken £10 investment and turned it into £180. In 3hrs. I could invest on a further two bets if need be, Basketball scores are quite profitable. I do this most afternoons when I've finished working. Obviously I won't claim they always come in. I do well on over/under corners too. Have a decent little algorithm set up for calculating that and comes in pretty well. Don't let the big odds at the bookies fool you. Be ultra selective and pick out one or two markets that work for you. Having said all this, Napoli will probably draw now! All good fun though and if you reach a point where you can take back your original investment then all good. :pint: Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Bob's Orange on Thursday, February 15, 2018, 19:04:41 Sounds good bamboo. Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: BambooToTheFuture on Thursday, February 15, 2018, 20:04:37 Jammy on the pay out on Nice. They are now 3-2 down! Hah, Yes i'm sure the bookies will be annoyed at that. Especially if you play the tactic of backing the winning team, then at 2-0 back the losing side to win with the profits. I imagine if you'd bet 10 on Nice, got the 20ish, then stuck 10 on Lokomotiv to win, would've been easily 50/1 nice 500 profit right there. The bookies would be rogering themselves and you'd be at minimum still have your 10er to play with. Always gets a bit tickly the higher the profit goes but you just have to be sure of your selections and not worry. If the selection is going to come good then what happens inbetween doesn't matter. Edit: Fuck me I'm starting to sound like Flitcroft! :soapy tit wank: Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Amir on Thursday, February 15, 2018, 21:08:47 Well, Mex won the duel with dmr by virtue of not ending up in court off the back of his tips.

Besiktas 4/6 KO 5pm Nordsjelland 1/1 KO 6pm Nimes 4/11 KO 7pm Girona 17/20 KO 8pm Racing Club 4/6 KO 10pm Combined odds: 13/1 ish Returns: £70 or £140 Nordsjelland were a slight concern for me but they have 2 player in the top 5 scorers with 17 (1) and 12 (3). God price considering they are at home. Good luck. Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: BambooToTheFuture on Friday, February 16, 2018, 16:54:41 If you feel extra brave then make it a seven (7) fold and add;
Hertha Berlin 1/1 and Monaco to score over 2.5 goals 10/11 To make it 52/1 ish Potential £10 into £520 Returns. Bear in mind that you won't have the luxury of the generous time gaps in the 5fold as it'll be; 5pm 6pm 7pm 7.30pm 7.45pm 8pm 10pm So those 3 in the middle would need some careful watching. Unless of course you wanted to cover those three, to hold your nerve a little easier. Again I'd be confident of 6 out of 7 of those. However there has to be an element of risk. Now I've said that, all that will fall on it's face and Besikstas will probably have a stinker. I am also not financial advice. Happy betting. :D :pint: Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Ginginho on Friday, February 16, 2018, 17:06:47 Cheers, i've put a whole £3 accumulator on :)
Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Bob's Orange on Friday, February 16, 2018, 17:19:53 Cheers Bamboo, i've chucked on an accumulator also.
Do you ever dip into the lower leagues? I tend to find the second divisions in France and the Netherlands on a Friday night yield plenty of goals. So a BTTS acca or over 1.5/2.5 goals can be landed (although I always manage to pick at least one of the very few 0-0 draws!) Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: BambooToTheFuture on Friday, February 16, 2018, 18:03:42 Cheers Bamboo, i've chucked on an accumulator also. Do you ever dip into the lower leagues? I tend to find the second divisions in France and the Netherlands on a Friday night yield plenty of goals. So a BTTS acca or over 1.5/2.5 goals can be landed (although I always manage to pick at least one of the very few 0-0 draws!) No probs Ging and BO. Yeah, I used to bet on the lower scots leagues for goalfests and Nimes who are in the acca are French L2. That should be nailed on, it's 2nd v bottom! I've found more success with BTTS in our lower leagues L1 & L2 but league one has been awesome. The other night I did 6 L1 & 6 L2 BTTS (just a quid for a laugh) 1.3k/1. Only Lincoln v Chelt let me down (strange as they're somewhat draw specialists). A bloke had won the same bet last sat £10 @ 1.3k/1, returning £13k+Stake. The 0-0 draw market is massive with some very generous odds. You can do nominal chasing too by just popping the current score (as the goal goes in). Obvs have your limit as to how many goals you'll chase. For e.g Besikstas are 1-0 up and if you backed that now it's 7/2 or 3.5/1. Great value, ok you may say yeah but they'll score again. However they have to do that and the longer it stays that way your cash out value goes up. I'd predict maybe a one goal chase and say 2-0 final score. Like anything, keep it fun and just bet with what your comfortable to part with. Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: BambooToTheFuture on Friday, February 16, 2018, 18:10:06 Bit of fun with corners if you want it?
Nordsjell v OB over 9 Nimes v Tours over 9 Monaco v Dijon over 9 Girona v Legane under 10 Sheff v Leics over 10 Racing v Lanus over 8 30/1ish RTN: £300+ I base this corner selections on current season stats and previous h2h. It's worked fairly well. Don't hold me to it though :) Nordsjelland winning already after 5mins. Plenty to go yet though :pint: Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: BambooToTheFuture on Friday, February 16, 2018, 18:46:14 Watching this Besikstas match and it's all them. 5mins to go.
Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: BambooToTheFuture on Friday, February 16, 2018, 18:59:43 Sorry lads. You can hold me on that one. Ffs
Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: BambooToTheFuture on Friday, February 16, 2018, 22:08:25 Well, apologies lads that was a disgrace. Although Besiktas should've scored about 5 and Nimes got rogered by a last minute equaliser. The only one I can have real claim on is the corners. Racing Club to play and just 9 corners needed. However, it was the Nimes match that let me down. 5 out of 6 for that one.
Assuming Racing Club win it'll be a harsh 3 out of 5 for the 5 fold I gave you probably deserve 4 out of 5. Result will be 3 wins and 2 draws! biggar. Not good enough and because I'm such a cunt I will be putting a few accas on tomorrow, if any of them come in, you can both have 10% of my profits. Yep even if my tasty, piss around £1 10/11/12 fold comes in @ 1k/1. So here's good luck to me, and you two could both see yourself pocketing £100 each for just taking my tip advice. My selections when lose by one, I accept as most sites give you your stake back so no biggy, but yep, you have my word and let's see how it goes. One last tickler though...really tempted to put Town in an acca tomorrow, to win and I never bet on swindon unless I'm doing some weird reverse psychology and put them on to lose. A lot of our games have been BTTS. What do you reckon, forget about them in the acca or go Win or BTTS or even braver and go STFC & BTTS? Let me know, and again thanks but apologies for putting your trust in my advice. Cheers, Bamboo! Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Bob's Orange on Saturday, February 17, 2018, 10:39:16 Share away bamboo, I love an acca or 2. I’ve gone for over corners in these games (Swindon are usually good for a corner at either ends)
Genoa Newport Southend Sunderland Hibs Swindon All over 10 Asian corners. Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: BambooToTheFuture on Saturday, February 17, 2018, 15:04:49 Sorry guys, been pissing about all morning,
Here's my ten fold that BO & Ging will get 10% of, if it comes in! Scunthorpe United @ 17/20 (Match Betting) Doncaster-Fleetwood Yes @ 7/10 (Both Teams to Score - 90 Mins) Crawley-Lincoln Yes @ 1/1 (Both Teams to Score - 90 Mins) Bristol Rovers @ 19/10 (Match Betting - 90 Mins) Carlisle United @ 3/4 (Match Betting - 90 Mins) Exeter-Mansfield Yes @ 7/10 (Both Teams to Score - 90 Mins) Fulham-Villa Yes @ 3/4 (Both Teams to Score - 90 Mins) Swindon Town @ 18/5 (Match Result and Both Teams to Score - 90 Mins) Gillingham-Walsall Yes @ 8/13 (Both Teams to Score - 90 Mins) Preston-Wolves Yes @ 21/20 (Both Teams to Score - 90 Mins) Multiple Type: 10 fold Stake: 1.00 Possible Return: 1446.64 Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: BambooToTheFuture on Saturday, February 24, 2018, 14:50:02 Alright guys, here's a nice little 5-fold that should give you some nice returns. Preston are making a steady charge towards the POs and should have just too much for a revitalised Ipswich. Portsmouth similarly are making a run for the L1 POs and should have the form over Blackpool who have only won one in their last 5, great single price at 13/10. Accrington; one of the form sides as we know, in L2. Cambridge are on a three win run but can only see the Milkchuggers having the edge at home. National League (it's still the Conference to me) Boreham Wood are flying. Currently winning 4 on the spin, they are too good a price at 21/10 versus Woking, who have hit a downward trend and are looking over their shoulders. They hope to have enough to secure National Non-League status for another season. Finally in the 17:30 KO; Watford v Everton, by this time you should have a decent cashout value (here's hoping) to either cover this bet, cash out or let it roll. I've gone for BTTS. Both are only really playing for a Top 8 finish at best. We all know finishing one place higher is worth a good chunk of cash in the Premier League. We could see a few goals in this match as Watford are not shy in coming forward and both teams have shown to have farly leky defenses, considering where they are in the league.
As always, if you back this bet identically and it fails by two selections or more then Bamboo gives you the insurance of a cut of my next acca selection (if it comes through). Essentially you'll have your normal acca insurance if one let's you down and then mine on top of that too! If Chesterfield aren't the biggest budget they will be the 2nd highest, especially after signing Town trialist MAF for apparently slightly higher wages than we offered him in L2. Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Batch on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, 11:19:31 l2 :(

Spireites may as last season have a decent budgie.... but if it's not used sensibly you can get in big trouble.... they're currently sinking like a stone, 6 defeats in a row. We probably dodged a bullet with MAF, which from our point of view looked a bit desperate. I've said it before and I'll say it again Flitcroft did a decent job in stabilising us as a Div 4 club, and Brown although early, looks like he should be able to avoid Spireite style straits. Saturday should be a decent indicator, as you'd expect Morecambe to be down the wrong end all season. PB could do with a win on the road.... not achieved since his first game. Brown himself says it's about trends and that is one that needs arresting before it becomes a major problem. Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: BambooToTheFuture on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, 13:03:01 PB could do with a win on the road.... not achieved since his first game. Brown himself says it's about trends and that is one that needs arresting before it becomes a major problem. Yet we couldn't get a win at home very often under Flitcroft. Maybe this season we'll struggle on the road. I'm sure we'll get a few. I don't see the difference to last season in that respect. Except, the style of play is much better and home fans and ST holders will be happy because they actually are getting to see the Town win. Likely if our home form mirrors something similar to last years away form, then with just a few away wins all season could easily see us into the play offs. Last season was at least highly unusual if not unique for the away form being very good and home form patchy. So far it's the more usual pattern, however we have played the get out of jail card in all the home fixtures, and that won't last, we need to start looking more convincing. This early in the season, it's fine, it can be seen as warming up...you want your best form from about Nov through to Feb, to really put yourself in the frame. Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Stef Troll on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, 23:23:45 Coral are fantastic bookies. There systems of control are shocking and if you catch it right you can bet on greyhound races after the event has happened and you know the results.
Placed a bet at 9.56 on a 9.48 race and won over £100. Then invested the winnings on the 22.04 race (bet placed at 22.09). Overall made £400 in about 20 minutes. Great thing is corals and ladbrokes are linked so when one site let’s you place late bets you can place them on the other site as well. I used to abuse this to hell in the past as all online bookies had really poor systems of control. Back in the day I was clearing near £3k a week on personal accounts and family accounts. I got my mates at work to set up accounts and split profits 50-50. Was funny as for about 6 months they earnt more money on a monthly basis from our 50-50 share then they got in a months salary. Now a days it’s a lot harder to place the late bets as the bookies controls are better. Saying that I made about £4K in January which wasn’t too bad. The great thing is they never ask for the money back. Worse case is your betting account gets closed but who cares once you’ve stung them for £5-10k Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Stef Troll on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, 23:27:13 Betfair are slack as well
Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: BambooToTheFuture on Thursday, March 5, 2020, 00:30:22 Lolz. I'd delete these mate. Great info though.
My bet tonight was done on pure probability and statistics. Basically all my selections were low odds but combined gave the 28/1. In reality though of those 8 selections about 5 of them were very similar so,it was more like placing a treble. PSG win BTTS PSG 3+ (Covers win pretty much) Lyon 2+ No (BTTS covers both) PSG o5.5 Cor Lyon o3.5 Cor Total o7.5 Cor (Both above cover total) Result at 15mins - Draw At 15mins 2 of 8 were settled (1-1), at HT corners were 4 and 2 so nearly over the line for all. Just needed a couple of goals from PSG. Knew they'd stroll it. Nearly all their H2H have been high scoring. In PSG favour. When it hasn't been, it is a Lyon win by a low score. The goals duly came so also gave the win too. Just needed to make sure Lyon didn't score but with a player sent off it was a training ground match with PSG showboating mostly. What was nice with that bet, I did have a c/o option for most of the match. Something Sky are really shit (crafty at). Hey ho. Not bad for a tiny outlay. It's always what I can afford and never more :) Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Chubbs on Thursday, March 5, 2020, 09:59:37 Coral are fantastic bookies. Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: BambooToTheFuture on Saturday, August 22, 2020, 18:07:57 Well fuck me like a kipper. Just checked my daily horsey acca and what an absolute bastard!
£2.50 e/w 6fold was looking to bring home about £1.9m on the win part. The place part still had a tasty return of about £2k... ...usually, if the first horse loses, I'll just reuse my selcections and carry on, in this case would've been about £800 on the place part. Completely forgot about it so hadn't kept tabs on it. 2x Wins 2xPlaces 1x NR 1x UP Here's the gut wrencher the UP was the first runner (so I could've adjusted to a 5 fold) but it came 4th by just a long neck to ½ a length. The first three were all with a head and a neck. Essentially shafted myself as I usually do cover it or "spalsh out" on a Heinz57/Lucky63. BuggarFuckCuntSticks Still, good selecting really and the £5 was a given to me by Coral but still, it's a bit :crash: Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Quagmire on Saturday, August 22, 2020, 18:31:45 Katie Taylor to lose and Dillian Whyte to be knocked out is my double tonight.

Will stick my sunday horsies on here if anyone is interested? I've used "Place only" markets recently and you tend to get better odds than the place part when betting e/w. So instead of betting e/w, I bet for the win on an acca and then for the place on another. Essentially the same bet but more bang for your buck if the place part comes in. Plus, if you want you can usually select an extra place for some security/insurance (had I been on it today, I would've been covered for that one horse let down). In this instance it was the first fucker that failed, which is why I'm annoyed as the other 4 placings/winners duly did as they "should" and had I been tracking them, I still would've picked up about £800 for the place part alone. At least if you go into your 5th leg with 4/5 then there are easy enough covers/favours you can call in. One simple option, just lay the final leg on betfair to same stake as whatever cashout is being offered. That way you're essentially guaranteeing the c/o value plus profit at a minimum or winning the original minus c/o value. Will still provide many scoops. I went with that and the Taylor draw and to be honest, it looked like it could end a draw. Peerson definitely upped it and at one point I thought Quaggy was on for his double. Felt the scoring was a little too generous to Taylor, the fight was closer than that. Decent bout that though. Unibet are offering a great Champions League Promo. Bet £25 on tonight's match and receive a £50 free bet upon settlement (regardless of your £25 outcome). As well as this, they will give you 20 Free Spins on one of their games with no wagering (they call it cash spins), so whatever you win you keep as cash. This is for existing and new customers. If you don't have an account you can take advantage of a bit more. I think on opening an account you also have a risk free bet up to £40. Create an account slap on a quick bet on something in your price range and if it wins, you keep as normal, if it loses you get the stake back. On top of this they also are running a free game to win £50k and a signed PSG shirt. Think it is 6 questions (that will likely be obscure) but get them all correct and pool from the £50k (not sure how they pool the PSG shirt though), for free. Basically they're throwing a fair amount of money at you as a sweetener. Be sensible, only bet what you can afford to lose and have fun. Also their live chat is pretty decent too for resolving any issues, especially free bets/spins not showing. Quick to sort etc. Enjoy :pint: Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Crispy on Sunday, August 23, 2020, 14:34:35 Heads up anyone before I post my racing fives Unibet are offering a great Champions League Promo. Better luck tomorrow. I always bet/advise on horses with place betting in mind. The acca profit off just a placed bet in Horse Racing is much better than most other sports. Multiply over 5/6 that tots up quite nicely without getting into ridiculous outlays. Not as much as landing a win part bet but less risk yet still plenty of profit, which is what I'm happy with. Broke even on the 3/6, although 4/6 would've pushed some profits. Still, sets up for the CL-F with the generous money on offer. If that goes nicely, I'll pop it on a Basketball pts double later on :) Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Richie Wellen-Dowd on Sunday, August 23, 2020, 18:29:20 How the hell do you break even on a single treble to place, when you must have made 42 bets? Those horses must have been pretty long odds then?
Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Crispy on Sunday, August 23, 2020, 18:32:58 I always bet/advise on horses with place betting in mind. If that goes nicely, I'll pop it on a Basketball pts double later on :) I noticed you had an EW acca yesterday and specified and you had backed it each way, which is why I found it rather strange you didn't this evening, but hey ho. All the best with your Champions League final and basketball bets. How the hell do you break even on a single treble to place, when you must have made 42 bets? Those horses must have been pretty long odds then? 10/3, 6/1, 9/2, 10/3, 5/1 & 4/1 were the industry SP's, although they'd have all been much shorter if they place markets were taken as suggested above. Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Richie Wellen-Dowd on Sunday, August 23, 2020, 19:17:51 Looks like only two placed anyway, so it's all academic.

Those horses must have been pretty long odds then? Correct but I only spent around £25. The acca 6 and four folds were the bookies money, so only the five folds and trebles came out of my pocket. Essentially 26 bets paid for. 90p on the 5-folds (6) £5.40, £1 on the trebles (20) £20. Of the one treble that came in for place betting I had 3s, 2s and 11/10 which returned £25.2. Also had acca guarantee on the 4-folds for money back if 1 leg lets you down. So I'm actually a smidge up more than I remembered. I noticed you had an EW acca yesterday and specified and you had backed it each way, which is why I found it rather strange you didn't this evening, but hey ho. Yes as for some reason, sometimes the "place only" markets won't let you select on coral and ladbrokes. Today's were on PP. Yes they were shorter than the win price of course but like any market (of any derivative) if you go in at the right moment you can get better prices. The "place only" market doesn't get affected by SP in the same way win and e/w does for BOG. So I try and place as early as I can as stated place only pays better prices than the e/w part. That's probably the "gamble" I like more; trying to find the best price possible before it moves again. Anyway, a 2nd half of CL-F to watch. Cheers :) Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: BambooToTheFuture on Sunday, August 23, 2020, 19:27:38 Looks like only two placed anyway, so it's all academic. You seem to be concentrating way too much time on the detail of my selections. Which seems odd. One of them, I already stated I took and extra place on. The beauty of "place only" you can choose mostly anything from 2-5 (sometimes 6 or 7 depending). Sometimes I'm sure a horse might finish top 3 when there are four places so I get better place only prices that way as well. I really don't have to explain myself tbh. I put the tips on, Mex's Tips. As I have done on various occasions for others to use (if they want). How one goes about putting on those selections is up to them. Some are more shrewd than others, some just do it for a bit of fun. Which is what it always should be. Didn't quite expect the scrutiny tbh :) Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: BambooToTheFuture on Sunday, August 23, 2020, 22:23:04 ...All the best with your Champions League final and basketball bets. CL-F "safe" double came in. As mentioned earlier regarding the Unibet free bets...so the selections came in and also shortly after settlement the £50 got added. But in what seems an absolute royal fuck up. I have £115 in free bets as well as my winnings from the CL-F bet. Plus the spins will go on tomorrow which they are doubling due to an error in processing them (it was 20). Each spin is valued at 40p so I'm essentially getting £16 worth of Spins. Any cash won....straight into the bank. Have put Toronto Raptors v Brooklyn Nets over 211pts (the stats look pretty positive) in with a Finish match in a couple of days. Used the £50 free bet so zero risk. Will, like this just put the free bets on the equivalent of evens so if they come in, I'll get the even money (no stake). Can't use it on horsies unfortunately but other than the £25 bet in the CL-F, all these is using their money and not mine. I'll take that any day :pint: :pint: :pint: Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Crispy on Monday, August 24, 2020, 08:27:23 Why on earth have you spread that across 3 posts?
I couldn't give a fuck what you stake nor what you win, I just found it quite amusing you named some horses with no mention of place or each way markets and then tried to claim you had a place treble up, that's all. You should start a twitter tipping account. Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: BambooToTheFuture on Monday, August 24, 2020, 12:02:45 Why on earth have you spread that across 3 posts? I couldn't give a fuck what you stake nor what you win, I just found it quite amusing you named some horses with no mention of place or each way markets and then tried to claim you had a place treble up, that's all. You should start a twitter tipping account. Because I hadn't seen RW-Ds comment and had already replied to you and was trying to watch the match, so couldn't be arsed to go back in and quote. Was quicker to just reply to that comment. The later one was after the bet had settled and maybe I was tired?! Ha, you clearly do give a fuck or you wouldn't have gone to the effort to find out the SPs. Don't spin that one Crispy boy ;) I used to use my TippingSports account a lot and did ok. The trouble with twitter tipping is that (understandably) everyone is more about short term gains and the volatility on that (and the responses) is incredibly high risk. Yet they don't seem to correlate the two if a high risk strategy doesn't pay off. The buck then stops at the tipster, to a degree. I go lower risk but you can't win with several punters then. They see a SR of 48% and think it's shite, but over a long period that is tough to maintain. I think I had a spell of three months where I stayed at about 57% but even then people turn their nose up. It's like they think a SR of 80+% is permanently realistic. Like I say, I've pretty much always tipped/betted to place (where permitted) and generally read the form. I also used to have a fair bit of info when I lived on the doorstep of Andrew Balding's Yard. Many mornings and afternoons spent at the practice gallops watching certain horses and fairly decent bit of conversation with one or two stable girls/lads. In any case, you don't have to follow my tips that I occasionally put up but this is the Tips thread so... ya know :) Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Quagmire on Monday, August 24, 2020, 12:07:30 Ha, you clearly do give a fuck or you wouldn't have gone to the effort to find out the SPs. Don't spin that one Crispy boy ;) He’s a betting shop manager, I can’t imagine it took him much effort. BSM or not, in reality it wouldn't take any of us that long to look them up. The internet has been around a while Quaggy ;) But being arsed to do so is the point. So he clearly did "give a fuck". Anyway, the Basketball part of my follow up came in by pretty much the end of the 3rd Quarter. So that looks on to pay out. Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Crispy on Monday, August 24, 2020, 12:28:40 Ha, you clearly do give a fuck or you wouldn't have gone to the effort to find out the SPs. Don't spin that one Crispy boy ;) Believe me I didn't and still don't, as Quagmire has pointed out, I work in the industry and watched the racing yesterday which is why I knew the SPs. To be perfectly honest I really can't be arsed with this anymore either, so in some sort of attempt to get the thread back on track - Skybet have gone 4 places on The Championship, League 1 and League 2 outright markets. Of course this see's their book being less than competitive from a purely odds perspective, but does offer an interesting angle on the Anti-Post this season. Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: BambooToTheFuture on Monday, August 24, 2020, 12:32:49 Anti-Post this season. It's whatever pal. But considering you work in the industry I could help notice this ;) But yes it does, especially if betting purely for the place lolz Title: Re: Mex's tips Post by: Crispy on Monday, August 24, 2020, 12:39:08 It's whatever pal. You're incorrect, I'm a cunt but we all are here. Orlando Magic +13.5 & Indiana Pacers +6.5, both 10/11, should go close this evening. |
