They offered £30k we wanted £100k+.

£30k wouldn't even buy a new car!

Would be happy if he stayed, but not upset if he goes.

Good player but very hot and cold and I feel like this is probably his level

I've been pretty disappointed overall in Williams. He's shown his ability in flashes but that's all we've ever seen. I don't remember him ever taking a game by the scruff of the neck, which it would be reasonable to expect of someone who has played at international level...

I didn't know specific figures JJ, just that Sandro was keen to cash in and Clem wanted to try and keep our most valuable assets. With hindsight it may have been the wrong move, but I totally understand Clem's motivation.

Sometimes the worth is more than the cash.

Had we sold Williams on the back of Reed and Gladwin leaving the fan fallout would have been colossal. Especially if you think we had a chance of promotion (or rather Clem did..)

With hindsight it wouldn't have made much difference in our 2 from 10 win run.

Yeah I'm kind of in agreement with both of you. Don't get me wrong, he's really a class act at this level and at times has shown that, and his goal contributions this season have shown statistically he's a dangerous player.

But for me he flatters to deceive, and to be fair to him I don't think he is being played where you can get the best out of him. I'm also (possibly harshly) driven to irritation by his antics when he gets fouled, (or not in some instances) sitting there on the floor flapping his arms around whilst the game carries on. His experience potentially could be vital next season but I'm on the fence as to whether we should try and keep him on. I mean even Wales only picked him as he was a 'good egg' in the end, not that I'm complaining as we got cash money out of that.

I got told that Morris shut down that deal on the last day due to what he had seen leave during the rest of the window.

In totally unsurprising transfer rumour news, Scott Lindsey is looking to sign Ellis Iandolo in the summer - according to Ryan Whelan.

Excellent, he needs a fresh start at a new club, good luck to him.
