Anyone beginning to feel just that little bit sorry for the Aussies?

I'm extremely happy that the Aussies are in a sorry state.

Comment from TMS earlier: Rule #1: Never feel sorry for the Aussies Rule #2: Never underestimate the Aussies The mini-collapse at the end just a reminder that this isn't over yet.

Pissed off that we keep gifting them stupid wickerts. A wicketless score at the close and its all over. Tbh though anything over 350 in a 4th inninga chase is very tough to get especially with the pitch cracking up.
I hope we batter them and take a 2-0 lead. I honestly think a 5-0 is on the cards here if the weather holds for the rest of the series.

Another 140 runs today and that's a 400 lead. I'll be comfortable then. Yes they capitulated the last inning but don't forget they nearly knocked off well over 300 last Test. Need to bat them out the game. Easier to take wickets then too. Don't give the convicts a sniff.

I'll be happy with a 450 run lead; I can't see the Aussies getting anywhere near that but always nice to have some comfort! Another 200 runs today and we'll bat them out the game!

TMS online commentary is very slow. Bell's wicket took ages to come up.
Turning the screw now. This is quite important, the way I see it. It's starting to redress all those humiliations we suffered at the hands of the Aussies during the 1990s and early 2000s. A whitewash is the target now. 5-0 a possibility. 10-0 by next Jan/Feb...you can dream.

Will probably see an overnight declaration I reckon with an lead in excess of 550.
Root flawless today, Bell imperious bar the incident on 3 when he should have gone.
Interesting to see Clarke hasn't taken the new ball, probably to save the 3 seamers.
As a side point I think Bell was out on 3. Time and time again we see these decision complicated by TV over the 2D/3D issue. I think umpires should take more responsibility with those as there was nothing blocking the umpires view.
9 days between the end of this and the start of the third test. Aus have plenty to contemplate. Warner will be back from Zimbabwe and I suspect he will come back in almost certainly at 3. Lyon will probably replace Agar.

Based on Warners scores in Zimbabwe I'm not so sure. If they do I don't think we have too much to worry about. Get the fuck in there! Brilliant day! Nice work Rooty lad. Hammer them into the ground and now skittle em. This is payback for many years of pain as I grew up.

KP to be monitoring ahead of 3rd test with a calf strain.
If he misses out I imagine James Taylor would be favourite to get a call up, though would love to see Carberry get a chance.

Me too FCB. Carberry has been in great form for Hants this season. Fear he may get overlooked based on age but mainly because he opens.

Might as well bat on for another hour and get a lead in excess of 600, leaving us around 160 overs to get them out.
Cannot see the point of not taking the new ball this evening. All Smith and Agar bowled was declaration filth, whilst the seamers were keeping the run rate down.

Cant help thinking that the powers to be behind the scenes have had a little influence on this match...all days are sold out and this match would have finished by now i reckon if we had enforced the follow on.
Not saying its a bad thing by the way.
