No Hart Foundation either, or Fox. Assuming that a few of the names from last year might have left the club - Taank, Wynn-Davis and a few others. There was never an announcement I don't think, only that Dworzak had a contract.
I bumped into to PaulD on his morning dog walk a couple of weeks back and we had a bit of a natter. Anyway, Wynn-Davis is no longer at the club. He’s off to Alabama on a scholarship

How much did they charge a ticket out of interest? Club building it up and then sending a youth team is pretty poor imo
£8

Decent crowd there, too. All good money for Corsham.

Without wishing to go all mumsnet and stuff, if you bump into him again, let him know he can reach out if he needs any "local" help/knowledge. Tuscaloosa (assuming Alabama of College Football fame) is a mere 3 1/2 hours from here - which is local :-) Having made the move I can at least offer any insights I may have gained in the past few years. Great Uni as well.

Will do. He doesn’t live far so occasionally see him about. Usually more a quick head nod & alright than a catch up but will pass on next time I see him. In fairness - he still lurks on occasion so might read it himself.

Also, don’t quote me but I *think* he said it was Mobile, Alabama*
If it isn’t the NFL or late 80s - 90s - earl 00s wrestlers my American geography is non existent.

I know Mobile, on the Gulf, a little further but a straight road down.

Hopefully he's not 'stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis blues again' ?

Not much to glean from last night's friendly I guess. I wonder what the benefits of playing such a young team against a group of fully grown men. Clearly there have to be benefits otherwise why do it, but to me it seems a bit pointless giving the youth team such a tough, physical test so early in pre-season. Perhaps that's one of the reasons, to make sure they are prepared physically?

The original plan was to send the first team. I understand for all of our non-league friendlies, we send someone down to check the pitch is okay a week or so in advance. Corshams pitch didn’t look great when checked last week, so they didn’t want to risk the first team, but told them they’d send the youths to honour the game.
