I did mean Ward, he's certainly got something about him. Billy seems to do his best work with a partner, so why not give the kid a go. The "Any reason why he can't" was really to do with Bolton not wanting him cup tied for any reason

Yup. I second that. Isn't Ward's normal position striker?

If we play Ward upfront then we need someone to play on the left.

If I had to guess I think Wilson might go

Lucas

Amankwaah
Cuthbert
Greer
Sheehan

Macklin
JPM
Douglas
Ferry
Ward

Paynter

4-5-1 to start with but with two very attacking wide men, can easily switch that to 4-4-2 if you wanted to

Althought Wilsons probably more likely to go JPM, Ferry, Douglas, Timlin, Ward as the 5.

I got a feeling JFL will be back with Sheehan left mid.

I dont think Macklin will get any starts this season....he is to lightweight and hasnt muscled out yet....hes done very well but i dont think hes quite ready for the physicle side for a few months yet...his pace makes him vulnerable to injury and he was ideal to take Obriens place on Saturday but wasnt risked.

Enjoyed the match.

Thought we scored against the run of play as Yeovil pissed all over us for ten minutes.

Roll on Fulham.

I think anyone who saw Macklin at McDons in the Cup would say that he is ready.

The injury is a massive blow though. Its a big worry for his future that he picked it up so easily, and unfortunately it has slashed the value of the player.

But I think given a chance he will take it with both hands. Wilson must be worried about the injury, which is why he hasnt come on yet?

I hope he goes with the exact same team and formation but just replaces Charlie with Ward next week.

Me too. Inexplicably I have a horrible feeling Peacs will start along side Paynter. We need Wards mobility.

Play O'Brien but just make him stand still on the half way line.
