This should come as no surprise. Recently we decided to have out 13 plate fiesta serviced by Allen Ford as we knew there was an issue with the air con and after the warranty ran out we have been using a grease monkey garage just to do basic services as the Mrs only does about 6k a year. Anyway, back came the car with the £65 charge for diagnostics and up came the air con fault as expected. Plus, new FOS wheel bearings and corroded rear spring. Total repair bill £750. Booked into said grease monkey, no need for a rear spring they are both fine and will be after your MOT next April… bearings done and air con done total £370.80 inc VAT
Ok main dealers are going to be more expensive, and they did wash her car. The thing that annoyed me is the rear springs. I was dubious as they only said one, I’d have thought after 8 years they would both need changing but as the grease monkeys said, it will pass next years MOT easily, with out an advisory. More trusting and less knowledgeable customers would have just said ok do it and paid up.
Yep, had a similar experience. Had a fan belt go on my car and The AA towed the car to the dealership. They had the car for a day before phoning me to say new water pump was required as it was damaged during the fan belt failure and was now leaking. Was also quoted around the £750 mark to put right. Wasn’t prepared to pay that and was contemplating fixing it myself. Picked the car up with the help of a mate and went to a recommended grease monkey garage. Nothing wrong with water pump, just a broken idle pulley which was replaced along with the belt for around £140. Haven’t used a dealership since.

When did a "power cut" become a "power outage"? Just one in a long line of Americanism that "grind my gears"

Getting older and the crap that goes with it. Why does my body now think it’s ok to wake me up in the middle of the night for a wee. Then my brain kicks into gear and starts thinking of loads of pointless stuff so I can’t go back to sleep.

😂😂😂 fully encapsulated both my rage and the linguistic explanation as to why ‘could care less’ doesn’t mean what they intend it to mean

Ticketmaster, reading festival, ticket transfer of e-ticket fail due to their shoddy system
They have permanently closed down their phone lines too.
Son #1 will not be happy.

Parrots and Ibus every 1/2 hour wouldn't touch it - Yes, I know but I was desperate!! Best thing ever was amoxicillin once I finally got an appointment with a dentist.
