GASP. When are where are you seeing Machine Head?!?! Out of all the big American metal acts, they are about the only ones left that I haven't seen - that it's possible to still see.

Went to summer breeze yesterday. Toploader were rubbish, but it was a decent enough day I guess. Also discovered two very very very good bands. First of all a band called stokes william, kind of like a mumford/maccabees type thing. May have missed the folk revival gravy train, but they do very good songs with good harmonies http://www.myspace.com/stokeswilliamAlso a band called a genuine freakshow. Not sure how to describe it, t'was very good though www.agenuinefreakshow.com

Foos yesterday was brilliant. Bob mould DJed and played a song, roger taylor also guested and during the encore Alice cooper came on and did a couple of numbers. Fantastic.
Biffy were also excellent as ever.
Without wishing to be too much of a tosser(well too late for that really) I spent a lot of the day backstage where the promoters had built an old english pub for the Foos and guests. Stunning. Double decker bus in the back as well. And stone baked pizza oven where your kids could make pizzas for you! I haven't had as much fun backstage at a gig for years. Couple of photos here. Those photos look excellent gk nash, we popped down the bottom yesterday and looked backstage and we could see the pub, only to have got in there!
The Foos were amazing, Seasick Steve came on for an encore, they played from 8.15 to 11. Knackered today but well worth it.

I saw Jarvis live last year. He is a great front man, very entertaining!

Location is perfect for me, 14 miles from where my sister lives so can get the festival smell off me asap! Incidentally, have paid 20 quid for shower vouchers, are the showers likely to be any cop or will dirty bastards have shit in them and only cold water will be available? Not been to a festival in ages.
