Scoreboard froze at 3-1 and I think we all actually lost track of the score. At one point we were chanting ‘is it 6 or 7 - 1?’

Remember getting a lot of plaudits from Forest fans for our gallows humour after the game. The only high point really. There was talk the players had gone out the night before which would explain a lot. Forest weren't a great team that season by any stretch!

Great weekend at Forest. Love going to Nottingham. When we scored the chant was "Six nil and you fucked it up".

Ahh maybe it was wishful thinking, or possible Peacock hit this bar (not the pub) at 2-0?

Didn't expect this thread to be so active after the transfer window 'slammed shut'.

So DJ’s money will keep the club until the end of the month but a £375k grant from the EFL isn’t enough to cover a months costs... Bogle’s sell on kept the club going for a month or two at a rumoured £500-600k.. £450-500k clause in the contract?

The numbers you quote all stack-up - it's probably between 350-400k a month to operate the business. That's all running costs. I doubt much income is coming through the bank account at the moment, so the grant would indeed be tight for a month. As much as I rant about the current performance levels, that's based on the potential of the players, not based on the situation we are in - I have no idea how lots of clubs are making it to the end df the season.

if we are genuinly that close to the edge, why bring in new players? like mirisolou - especially when Grant is in the bench
sure we might get relegated, but it's better than going bust

Given other clubs seem to be hanging-on, I wonder if there is some sort of belief that they will all be rescued this year, so it's one to play chicken with Admin over. Obviously very few are going gung-ho, but there is no financial reason that clubs should still be trading right now.

Not listened to Power yet. But the suggestion the DJ money keeps us going until the end of the month seems slightly contradictory to Wrights, the release clause was met, there is nothing we can do. Wrights line was i suspect bull shit from the club trying to save face.
