So we've got 2 new unproven young strikers in the transfer window.  Lost noone yet.  Really could do with some defensive cover Id say.  Only another week or so.

I had a regen called Michael Smith come through on one of my football manager games as Swindon.

Became the best left back in the world racking him about 180 England Caps and playing near 800 games for the Town.

Give the lad a chance, you never know he might start banging them in! Would like to see us sign a CB as cover for a month or so!

I'm sure I read on the Charlton forum that the fee is around £75k, with Bury offering the same amount.

Looks like he grabbed a few for Wimbledon. Judging him on his time at Darlo seems pretty harsh given that he was 18

Seems he was managed by Mark Cooper at Darlington.

He will be a hit.

Interestingly the club have yet to confirm the signing. Perhaps Power was hoping to take Shrewsbury by surprise when handing the team sheet in on Saturday.

Sounds promising. Not quite as fun a name as Ngoo would have been and Ajose, N'Guessan and El Gabas were...even Christian Roberts might manage this.

This could be why.

Chris Powell confirms to the press that @smudga17 is talking to Swindon Town and could join them on a pernanent basis shortly. #cafc

Looks alright. To be honest I'll be disappointed if I can't boo him and he's anything other than total pony.

On loan from Charlton apparently......

If he plays does this mean we'll be trying a few more crosses into the box? He looks like somebody who can head the ball at last.

Welcome Smudger (it's the law that footballers with the name Smith have to be called smudge(r)).

Interesting anyway, hope he does well. Personally think Ranger's day are numbered.
