Lamacq is back on Radio1?

I'm reading Peel's biography and it's just got to the early 90's and the rise of Lamacq and stuff. I remember listening to him when I was younger to try and broaden my musical horizons. I don't think it worked though cos I carrried on listening to nu-metal :|

sonic, which peel book do you have?

http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=BOOK&title=530108
http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=BOOK&title=551941

these are the two i'm aware of, but i heard that he was part of the way through his book when he died, so i don't know if either of them is that book or something completely different.

John Peel: A Life In Music - Michael Heatley

That's the one. Worth getting but it is a bit strange as it seems unfinished in parts.

Steve Lurpak has never left radio one. He did the evening session on tuesdays to thursdays until a couple of years ago, then colin murray took over and then zane lowe but he's still doing lurpack live which he's done for years. Quality show.
