Anyone got any plans for Music festivals this year?
I was toying with the one out in Ibiza, they had a fairly decent line up last year but seems to have gone a bit quiet on that front.
Think Burning Man in Vegas is looking likely if we can get tickets in time while mate has invited me to Global Gathering. Can't decide on that one though sounds a bit to much like a where are you from what are you on jobbie. Not that I don't mind a bit of gurning but I'd quite like to see a few bands, get pissed and roll around in mud for a bit as well.

I was thinking I might go to the Isle of Wight festival. Might not be able to afford it though, and I will probably have exams around that time as well. So it looks like a no :-))(

THat does look like another good'un. Do they release line-up's for a lot of the other fesivals before tickets go on sale or is it pot luck?

I see Chris T-T played. The injured popstars guy. I love that song Dreaming of Injured Popstars Lisa from steps, she's the one with the dark hair curled up in a ball at the bottom of the stairs with the blood congealing all down her sleeve i think she severed an artery
Jon Michael-Jarre is tied upside-down if he pissed himself he'll probably drown got his head in a hole and his legs in the air and no-one cares
I saw it all happen i was there all the time but it wasn't me i can watch it in slow-mo but i cannot ever move because it's just a dream
Fuck me, it's Celine Dion strung up in the forest with nothing on quick! Climb the tree there's a noose around her throat get it off, or she'll never sing another note
Cliff Richard is nailed to a cross with Lou Reed's head stuck up his arse and Estefan crying on the livingroom floor but she isn't really injured at all
Hey look! A shadowy figure running away from the scene and in my sleep i made a villain to wipe out the music scene
Chorus: can't stop dreaming of injured popstars get them out of my head somehow one by one the popstars get cut down
Cher is there with battery acid in her hair and Bob Dylan has a fork stuck up his nose all around wales the bands are on fire as the flames lick higher they run from their homes it only took one match to burn down Kelly Jones
And it's Michael Gambon! It's Michael Gambon! I saw his face cleaning all the shit-pop from the human race
(Repeat chorus ad in finitum) Genius And a bit of Brazilian drum and bass with DJ Marky and stamina MC. Nice one.

truck is ace, apart from being a decent little festival you can plan very little for it and still have a great time.
i may end up going to one of the bigger one's but i'm in no mood to plan that sort of thing now, give it 4 months.

Try FIbFest in Spain at a lovely little place called Benicassim, about a mile to the sea, you get 8 days camping, nice showers and a decent array of bands for about £100, I had a great time 3 years back. There's not many stages/tents but I always found good stuff on. quite near barcelona for a visit afterwards.

Foreign ones are the way forward. I know people won't be interested in lineups, but 4 of us went to Wacken in North Germany last year, and ferry, tickets, camping (by our car) and petrol all cost less than a Download weekend ticket on it's own.
