Has he ACTUALLY signed and available to play?

I like the idea of a bitter Smith making his debut against the club he just left.

Ronnie_Jepsons_Barmy_Army, Do you think he can do a job for us? Why don't you want him?

You know that game Gills lost 5-0 at Colchester? (Just say yes, I know you dont).

That was his last game.

He only played a couple of games for us when he came back he werent fully fit and did look abit fat and slow but iffys knows him best he played years with him at gills. One thing is for sure he will give you 110% no matter what.

He's in the squad but question marks over fitness and match sharpness.

I dunno really everyone was quite keen in the summer but two having left two league one clubs is not the greatest of signs?

Hopefully he’ll start as he’ll have a point to prove an hopefully a chip on his shoulder.

Smith's last game for the Gills was the 5-0 drubbing by ColU....he also played in the Burscough fiasco.....all of which suggests he may be past it.

With a contract to the end of the season we haven't too much to lose, and we all know he's the sort we need....so probably on balance worth a gamble.

Good signing - we can't exactly pick and choose at the moment can we?

My gut reaction was one of annoyance given that he had two chances to sign for us and on both occasions snubbed the red and white shirt. However, being realistic, he's the ball-winner and voice of experience we've been missing and given that only a fortnight ago I was willing to see us bring back Grant Smith, I can hardly compalin based on sentiment alone.

Time will tell, but with half a season left, why not. Nothing to lose.

Atleast we have another body in the squad, and if he plays against the Gills you can be sure he will give 110%
