Was of course a classic kiddie tv show in the early 90's and late 80's.

Having been watching it's repeat on challenge at some early time in the morning while chatting to village on msn, I thought I'd do a  bit of research into it...

There is a big Bring Back Knightmare petition. I think there main goal now is to get the series released on dvd. Not a bad idea...

An attempt at a relaunch was made.. the pilot can be downloaded here...

Unfourtunately it's shit. too much 3d graphics and not enough of the atmosphere which made knightmare so fun. Unsuprisingly no tv stations were interesteed.

From what I can tell, the main fan site is now at http://www.knightmare.com/

If TV Executives have the power to bring back Knightmare (*crosses fingers*), then maybe they have the power to bring some of these classics back.....

Bananaman
Captain Pugwash
Dangermouse
Family Ness
Finders Keepers
The Herbs
Inspector Gadget
Ivor The Engine
Moomins
The Racoons
Rainbow
The Riddlers
Sharkey And George
Shoe People
SuperTed
Thundercats
Willo The Wisp

“Raise the eye shield”

Fucking brilliant, back in the day there was nothing like it.

I saw one a few years back, which may have been the re-launch and they had the travesty to replace the presenter.  I’m presuming he’s not dead?

How many people ever finished I can only ever remember two back in the day.

knightmare was well good. it used to get well exciting when they had to cross over a room & the floor started falling away. there were always loads of wierd people they met along the way too.

does anyone remember another programme called 'round the twist' about some kids who lived in a lighthouse? think there were some ghosts in there too? class  Cool

Wasn't it that annoying Australian programme? I didn't like it one bit. Speaking of old-school Australian tv anyone remember 'Pugwall'. I used to love that show despite it being clearly awful. My hoousemate Pug is nicknamed after him   Cool

I was a bit scared of the presenter i think, didn't he have a huge black beard and dress like an extra from Robin Hood? Plus i never saw anyone finish the fucking game, ever.
