Was on BBC1 at 9, about the Munich Air Crash. Even though it was almost 50 years ago, it was quite sad to watch seeing such talented young footballers lose their lives. Interesting to see a young John Lukic on the plane.

It would have been interesting to see how good Duncan Edwards would have been had he survived.

I can only go on what I've read like most people, but from that I think he would have been one of the true greats. He'd been capped for England plenty of times when he was killed and was still very young, people used to rave about him.

I watched last half an hour, was really good watch...I never realised the plane never got off ground.  They said Duncan Edwards would have played in the 1966 world cup final, and gone on to be one of the worlds greats.

They say he would have probably captained England too... I think it's a case of England just being better than 1966 squad. Edwards was 21 and had 18 England Caps to his name.

There's plenty of websites dedicated to the Munich Disaster.

I was disappointed by the BBC Drama though.

Sat next to Nobby Styles on the top table when he was the after-dinner speaker at a fundraiser in Old Trafford. He says Duncan Edwards was awesome in stature and in footballing skills.

Built like Rooney but much taller. Legs like tree trunks. Fantastic pace with an engine that kept him going box to box all day. Great header. Great tackler. Great vision. Two footed. Could drive passes 40 yards with either foot. Not looping slow punts but hit like a shell at a foot off the pitch all the way etc etc

He had tears in his eyes as he talked about him - really choked.
