I'm in a similar situation to Sonic. My phone is getting on a bit now and needs replacing. I'd prefer to get a phone on P.A.Y.G.  I know that they probably work out more expensive this way, but does anyone know the best place to get them? i.e Direct from the shop or from somewhere on t'internet

6230 is a nice phone.  I had a demo and the chap had one himself with a 1gig memory card stuffed full of MP3s, loads of features and the like.

Has to be a flip top for me every time though.  Sony before they merged with Ericsson created a couple of quality handsets the best being the yet to be beaten Z5.

Sadly my old Z5 was getting a bit battered so I invested in the new Sony 3G Z1010 and it's a pile of shite.  Like a house brick fortunately I made a tasty profit on it and have now purchased the supr cool Samsung E800.  Very compact a little light on special features but the camera is superb.

Dude I've got a 3 phone, it's shit, like Frank Sinatra I have a few regrets in life, not shagging a swiss bird on a beach in Oz is one, not going to Uni another, but my biggest regret in life is signing the 12 month 3 contract.  Unless you are in a well built up area you can't make voice calls without the person you're calling saying, mate you're breaking up.  Fucking crap.  Stick to Voda, O2, Orange.  That's my advice.

Gotta stick to Vodafone cos it's the only network that works here. I really like the look of the S700i, the D500 looks very snazzy and the 6230 looks user friendly whilst not looking as nice as the others. Hmmm, tough decision :|

D500 looks superb, bit pricey but not to bad on contract I suppose.
