Having played cricket for the first time in early summer and liking it, and then the whole Ashes thing, i decided i like cricket.

For this reason, i am going to see the mighty England take on the Pakistanis on August 28th at Bristol.

I've obviously never been to a live game before, so what can i expect?

you will have a great time - its always better to watch sport live .. you get the real atmosphere ... and there will be plenty of alchohol to consume - hope we win!

PS ... keep an eye out for the classy ladies who attend cricket  Wink

It's a 20/Twenty so it should be an exciting game!

It's in Bristol, Fatters.  I can't imagine there being many 'classy' womenfolk around...

It'll be shite if you're amongst all the Pakistanis Dave. The Indians are worse mind. Horns, hooters, flags, whistles etc.

Bristols a great place to watch cricket mind, enjoy it.

Still toying with the idea of catching the international at Edgbaston in Sep, after spending best part of 7 out of 8 months travelling variously I don't fancy my finances will be too good, and that late in the year there is a heightened risk of rain, coan't remeber if it's the test or the one dayer. I'll be more tempted by a one-dayer I think.

The ballot for tickets happens today at Lords, gulp. I've applied for the Friday of the Sri Lanka and Pakistan tests and the Sri Lanka odi, didn't bother with the Pakistan odi as its in early September and if i got tickets Swindon would probably be playing the pox on that day :-))( .
I'm sure we'll get Sri Lanka test tickets, but the other two games will be part of the ballot, come on my aplication form Smiley
