Thanks to all who turned out tonight (namechecks for Sonic, Tails, DV85 - apologies to anyone else who posts on here whose face I didn't match up with your online persona). We had enough for four "teams" accosting innocent shoppers so covered a good area. We seemed to get a pretty good response from the GBP. I had to leave before the end cos I was double-booked with another meeting, so not sure how many leaflets we gave out, but I'll stick my neck out and guess at "a good old chunk".

And for those who wondered, Tails did get his lemonade (I'm a man of my word me) and he and I beat the Chinese guys (who were also trying to leaflet for some fitness place) hands down in the "shoppers accosted" stakes. We had an especially good manoeuvre where he went for them first off and as they swerved to avoid him ran straight into me, and got leafletted good! Bwahahahahahaahah! No, I don't get out much, why do you ask?

Good response I thought, alot of people seemed interested and had a quick read before putting them in their pockets. A few obviously refused, some even stopped and asked some questions.

Only one guy took one and put it straight in the next bin, he then gave me a really evil look. Oxford fan I think  Cheesy

Plus, walking back up to the Savoy afterwards we only actually saw one of the leaflets on the floor

Did quite well Debenhams, had to re-stock on some more  Cheesy

If I saw Sonic striding towards me in his Jose coat I'd do a runner. That is all.

On behalf of the club, a big thank you to Paul D and everyone who gave out leaflets yesterday. It is most appreciated, and I hope will help to add a few extra people to Saturday's attendance. Thanks again.

no problem, I just hope it has the positive effect we are looking for....

Did any of the leaflets or any promotional material get sent out to the local schools? Just something myself and Sonic discussed yesterday.

The club did an earlier promo to schools, first with the Football4Free leaflets (which we also helped distribute - we're ace, we are), then with the cheap tickets on the Bank thing. All in all, I think the club's marketing of itself within the community has improved umpty-fold this season and we've been happy to be able to help. Nice to see Mark come on here and acknowledge people's efforts as well.

Gah. I'm going to be getting all loved-up in a minute - someone set me off on a rant about something.
