...already a done deal, according to a "reliable" source.

Just something I've heard.

Queue the "bollocks" and "f*** off you scottish c...." replies.

You have GOT to be kidding me!
Why the heck would they sell our only scorer for that measly sum. We may as well not play the rest of the season if that's true. Soooo hope it's not Shocked

Fuck off you Calne Inbred.

i reckon that comment includes about 70% of calne.

Johno's biography title -

"Born in Calne, lived in Calne, died in Calne"

Especially if he joins the BNP (Banque Nationale de Paris)

Probably means Jamie Cureton will be getting a phone call...

If he has suddenly remembered how to score, plus we really can get that amount of dosh for Fallon then I don't see it as a bad thing.  Unless Curo comes back here and remains completely cack..

Swindon selling a much needed striker for less than market value? Got to be true Sad

In seriousness he might be our only saleabe asset. If he isn't willing to sign a new contract who knows....

This rumour was doing the rounds at the Barnsley game. If it's true I'd assume the logic of the powers that be is if we're going down anyway, we'd better cash in on one of our few sellable players while we still can. Which kind of makes sense, but personally I'd hate to see them surrender like that. Which is what they would be doing - surrendering to relegation and totally undermining any chance Iffy might have of keeping us up.

Why the heck would they sell their only scoring player eh? :? Doesn't make any sense to me, and if they've got any sense they'll be thinking the same.

And anyway, Rory said he wanted to sign a new contract didn't he Cheesy

Rory wouldn't turn down the inevitable longer deal and decent pay rise such a move would bring, I wouldn't have thought

I would hope the board acts in the clubs best interest and sells him for the best possible price, in January.

Try and negotiate a new contract with him now, if he rejects it then we will have to sell him otherwise he'll leave for nothing. Crying

But if we sell Fallon we are as good as down.  What's better in the long run - 250k for Fallon or staying in this division???

It's better to be in the shit financially and be in League One than be in the shit financially and be in League Two.

Plus, by selling Fallon, the Board are effectively saying our season is over, so they can't complain if only 2,500 punters turn up to hand over their hard earned for the remainder of the season.

Oh yeah i agree with that but at the end of the day the board see it as money which we could do with, id also like him to stay no matter what otherwise we will be down.

on the pitch we arent in a positon to be be selling our players we need them, I mean Iffy wont get any money to spend from it, so selling Fallon will not contribute to keeping us up, the opposite infact.
