Erm, haven't read through the longer thread yet but is what you said true... i.e. that relocating nearer our fan base would result in move eastwards towards London?

And on what do you base the fact that the majority of our support hails from London? I find this difficult to believe; based purely on this forum, not one member is based in our capital.

Nice one, Dave.
Part of this of course is Devlin putting pressure on SBC. A good way of showing how urgent the situation is for us, putting the immediate pressure of the loss of STFC as we know it directly in their hands. Forcing the issue is our best chance of survival in Swindon I'd say.

Should we go they'd spin it as a plus....come to Swindon the biggest town in England without a league football team...

On the local news they mentioned the offer to move out of the borough and 'share with another sport'. Now call me stupid, but there are no other sports at a high level near enough to Swindon to consider this possible. THings like Bath rugby are too far and would contravene the FLA rules on franchising surely?

On the other thread it mentions something about sharing a ground like Huddersfield and Reading do,both of who ground share with a rugby club, sounds to me that Bath rugby may come into it.

Moving Bath out of Bath wouldn't be too popular with the egg chasers, but rugby does have something of a franchise culture, certainly moreso than Football, look at 'London' Irish, and 'Richmond' both played at the madejski, 'London' Wasps at Wycombe etc

Didn't Mr D. say it would NOT be towards Newbury, i.e. not east.
I have no problem sharing with the egg chasers, it is the location of the stadium that is the issue.
