i think this is my first real criticism of iffy...

yes, king had his favourites who probably didn't warrant a place all the time (gurney, hewlett, igoe, duke to an extent) but the point was whenever possible he played very much the same 11, or at least used the same 13 or 14 in rotation

obviously saturday will be difficult with so many out or suspended but iffy needs to pick a formation, a side and stick with it, even if we lose a couple to start with

Easier said than done when half your squad are in on loan

I think that Seano has been shite all season and Collins played better than him when at centre back so why has he been left out?

Why was Curetons loan extended when he was in a rich vein of form?

I also think that Jenkins age is starting to catch up with him and I think Smith would be better than Jenks at the mo.

Why dont we play FOOTBALL?

There is so many questions that need to be answered.

The way out of this division is work ethic and pace. There is no need to play awesome football when you dont need to. If you are 10 times fitter than the other team then you can create space and just give the simple pass. Rather than try a 60 yard pass aka Gurney.

This is a well proved method especially those of you who remember the team that played under Macari.

On occasions we lose because teams have this, not because we get outplayed footballing wise.

And when people moan about Jerel hoofing it at times tbh he doesnt have that many options apart from just passing it back to the keeper.

Heaton in goal

Nicholas   O Hanlon   Ifil   Jenkins

                  Gurney

       Migs      Whalley     Shakes

         Fallon      Bouazza

4-1-3-2 formation

Gurney to provide cover for the defence.

Shakes offers pace in midfield,  Migs and Whally played well together against Vale

Fallon and Bouazza as per usual

However getting that team fully fit seems the problem

Drop Nicho for Smith - Nicho was awful against Barnsley and hasn't looked fit...well ever!
We need width - and that midfield doesn't do it - I'm in favour of two from Gurney, Migs, Whalley
Then for width - two from Shakes, Brown, Stroud, Roberts (!), Nicolau
Agree with Bouazza playing off Fallon, any wider and the goal threat is removed.

That is all...

Cant always play the same 11, tactics, injuries....

Plus, the fact that it changes should make the players think they need to play for their shirt and however said Collins played well at centre half needs to lay off the drugs.

However, I do believe level of performance is directly linked to Miglioranzi, when he plays well, we play well....when he doesnt, we dont....

I would agree about Jenks.  he has been very poor this season.  Off the pace and generally clueless.

Mainly because, ShaunO was out injured, as was Reeves. That left CCP who had no first team football and Collins. Collins was the obvious choice then, but since that games he's played fucking shit, acted like a twat. Where as CCP has come into the side and played well.

Things change....
