So why should someone with a self-inflicted disease get the liver of a doner rather then that of someone with liver disease!? I just feel that if you are given a chance like that you should take it! In my view Mr Best did not even try! He seemed like a man who thought life owed him one because he is a football legend! It may be unfair of me to judge but it's my opinion that he wasted the opportunity he was given! Yes alcoholism is a disease but not one you are born with and one you can definitely prevent! hmm I wondered why his liver packed in if it came from a kebab shop Anyway, my point being is that addiction can be genetic as well - so there

No time for addicts - heroin, alcohol, whatever - they're just weak, and are unprepared to take responsibility for their actions :x
Twats - death is too good for them... i actually agree with you nr.but its not that easy to stop im a ex heroin addict been clean 5 yrs but not everyone is that lucky.i had to totally change my lifestyle but if your famous i would imagine its a lot harder to do that...the death to good for them is a bot ott though

I guess being famous probably didn't help him as he was always being indulged, but being famous also could have helped him find help, something he only showed occasional interest in.He was a footballing genius no doubt, one of the best ever, but i'm not going to feel too sad as its been coming for ages. The bloke pissed a large portion of his life away and i guess he never regreted the way he spent his life, but his family might.

Even though its his own fault it came to this, I still feel sorry for george best. It must be a horrible thing to live with. Well atleast he's hopefully gone to a better place. Like someone said He was a footballing legend and made england proud, your making out like he is a bad man. At the end of the day he's a normal person with a family and it shows what constantly being in the lime light can lead to. I feel for all his family and friends.
