As Boeta said, the man is a legend and he hasn't even been in the side for a year yet.

Mr Bobby out for about 80, driving as loose as J1mmy's bumhole.

22 fours and 1 six for Strauss so far, that's pretty impressive stuff.

263-4 at the close. Strauss and Thorpe also gone.
It's about time Vaughan and Flintoff decided to do something useful with the bat. We're still proving to be a one man batting line up in this series.

Strauss makes it sound like a one man team. Without him....Well....

From what I have read it sounds like the difficulty of the wicket depends on the weather. It's cloudy and wet today which makes it a bowlers paradise. If it stays like that when SA bat, Strauss's innings could be even more valuables.
Still no excuse for this kind of collapse though.

411/8 at the close.
Top stuff from Vaughan and Harmison (perhaps we should swap Freddie and Harmy around in the order
) although I think going off for bad light will have stopped the momentum and I reckon we'll fold in the morning.

Two stats for ya boyos:
Andrew Struass has the second highest average in Test cricket history. The only man above him is some fellow called Bradman.
Michael Vaughan has the second best 50s to 100s conversion rate in the history of Test cricket (minimum 20 innings). The only man above him is the same fellow going by the name of Bradman.
Let's see if he makes another one tomorrow.
