Tonight I at work I was offered the position to become an apprentice chef. It is a very tempting offer. Working there is not work cos it is such a fucking laugh. I think I would enjoy working there, but there is a lad who is there who gets a huge bollocking everyday but that is cos he is unreliable.

On the other hand I am reliable and I am quite a good cook anyway. It is £4.35/ hr (although my pay is reviewed next month).

College is ok but not brilliant. But I don't want to ruin my chances of being a minister.

What should I do?

Stick with college. My cousin has worked as a chef and hates it. Did a few 80 hour weeks as well

I think the problem is that even if that job is ace, you won't be there forever

College, cheffing can be a fucking riot, I did a bit when I was at college the first time round doing a HND but it's a hiding to nothing unless you're qualified and as Yeovil said at the top of your game.

Every chef I know detests the hours and pay if you're serious then get them to pay for a good training course at college a couple of days a week.
